Thank you that was ez
Thank you Sir!
Your accent is soooo cool. Thanks for the info. 🤘
Mine was stuck on defrost and now that I unplugged the old actuator air will only come out of the middle vents
Very nice Mr burns awesome thank so much 👏 👏 .
Thanks 🙏 ❤
Replaced mine this morning but i timed it wrong 😂 well damn this video helped me out man!
Thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you
Thank you! Of all the videos I've watched on timing that door. Yours is spot on! Everyone one else either didn't show it. Skipped over it or vague in saying anything about it. Thx again!👍
God bless you for making and posting this simple video. It completely took care of my over heating problem when bush hogging. I kept the screen cleaned out and had a leaf blower to keep the grill clean, but never checked the lower 1/3rd of the radiator that was behind my battery. I'd hit 90% heating capacity in 10 minutes of bush hogging. After cleaning this section out, never got above 25% after an hour. Thank you!!!
You are very welcome
I been struggling to see the screws, I didn't know taking the lower dash panel off would help me see them better! Thank you!
I just did that and it's not holding it started leaking again but maybe I'll use some extra banjo clamps or move them over like you suggested. I'm not a mechanic by any means so I appreciate you doing this video
When you remove the actuator with the cam “plate” the 2 white levers move and not that easy to figure out what position they have to be in to line up the new cam. This video doesn’t show this, he just shows it already installed
I've tried 3 different actuators. 2 of them when powered on go to defrost when I turn the selector but say stuck there. The other actuator works but clicks non stop when selected to defrost. What the hell is going on?
Watch my video. I go thru steps of ensuring how to install actuator at right position to the air mode selection. You have to make sure the actuator is in right position for the mode selection to open in all positions. Hope this helps.
How did you get that clip to come loose?
If I remember correctly, you lift the tab and pull the connector away from the sensor.
😊 thank you so much for showing me that I appreciate you and I did subscribe to❤
I just bought a 2002 Passat 1.8T. I knew it had a oil pressure problem. I removed and cleaned oil pickup tube which was very clean except had large plastic/crystal deposits 3-5 mm. Tube was partially clogged. The stop engine oil warning still comes on . I was told oil pump was tested already. Question- is this where I check oil pressure? How do you test when driving. It doesn’t come on until I drive it a bit
You can replace the oil pressure sensor for relatively cheap. If the light goes off then you know that was the issue. It’s located on drivers side towards the back firewall. Reference my video for the location.
I have changed the oil pressure switch but it still shows oil pressure sign on the cluster and stop
Try unhooking your battery for awhile and plug it back in. When you plug it back in all the lights should be off but the ones that come back on would mean there’s still something wrong. At the point you’d have to plug in a code reader for free, and that will tell you. AutoZone let’s you used their code reader for free
If the light continues to stay on, you have a bigger issue. You would most likely need to remove the oil pan and inspect whether oil pick up is clogged. If not, you most likely have a bad oil pump. I would not run the vehicle for any length of time as you may damage the engine.
The harness was faced the other way so I used an open wrench to loosen it, turned it my way then was able to get to the tab. Took me a bit longer as I dropped the new sensor in the engine lol, but found it and finished the job. Thanks for posting.
Perfect, thanks
Thanks, I will be doing this soon.
th-cam.com/video/a2fju8-7ulw/w-d-xo.html shorter and more info.
How did you get the cap off the sensor
Quick question, my blower is stuck on the dash vents, so should I set my switch on dash vents, pull out my old actuator then adjust my new actuator to match it before I install it?
But what do you do when you already f***ed up and plugged it in and ran it without lining it up properly?? Please tell me there's a way to go back and get it timed right.
Saved me time man thanx
Can you fix the time
Thanks bro 😎 👍🍺🌴
If the oil pressure switch is bad, would it cause an oil leak?
Yes it can leak.
If the oil pressure switch is bad, would i
you removed wayyyy too much
Thanks 🙏 friend
Excellent video, brief and to the point.
Thank you for sharing. Your knowledge on alignment was very helpful.
Replaced the one in my wife’s 02 Tahoe and when I went to test it wouldn’t work properly I scoured the internet looking for a reasion as to y and came across your video I didn’t have my controls set properly befor install Thanks for the video
Worked for me thanks
Do you have to drain and re do the oil before you replace the sensor
No you do not
Thanks! That top screw was hell
Thank you for making a video that actually explained things properly and how to do it. I avoided a lot of frustration by watching this first! Thanks!
Glad this helped you out with yours.
U da man
You can also go through the infotainment screen in vehicle>settings>vehicle>maintenance info
Thank you! The other method does not work once the maintenance item displays the oil change as overdue in number of miles.
Now you are saying to move the plate I guess yours was pointed at the feet mine is pointed at windshield for defrost so do I have to move it to the defrost To get it in
I’m in the same boat, what did you end up doing?
Went thru the pain staking process of replacing mode actuator and the truck does not appear to calibrate it. Is there a calibration procedure?
No mention about the 3 door levers that have to be reinserted into the cam...arguably the crux of this job.
thanks
Looks helpful but view is poor and so is the sound
Thank you sir great video
Not to sound too crazy here but for the upper actuator screw maybe using multiple U-joints on a ratchet might help for access?
Yes this would be a way to get the screw out as well. Good suggestion!
Nice
