Was in Police Academy in ‘91. Remember pulling the FBI training video on this incident. A few things I remember clearly. Suspects made 4 right turns which clued them in that they were being followed allowing them to prepare. The rifle the one guy had was used with .223 rounds. The guys that were wearing vests didn’t stand a chance against that round as it would penetrate like a hot knife thru butter.
