Shovelhead is turning approximately 7000 rpm when going by. TURN UP VOLUME! 10:86 @ 121.7 mph. Decent run but not our best to date.

Matt testing the M&M Choppers race bike again at the drag strip near Wichita, KS. Working on getting his engine to better his 10:98 seconds; 118 MPH the week before. Well he succeeded getting 10:78 seconds; 121 (actually) MPH. Hasn't stopped him from wanting to do better.

Damn that thing runs. I got a s&s 124 that don’t run like that
Then something's wrong, my 124" made 140 with one point more CR and some head work.

Awesome!!!! I just bought an 84 Ironhead bobber. what do I need to do to get it running like this??? any info please help. my top speed on the hwy is around 60 mph not good at all. I need it with more balls!!! once again awesome on the 11sec

Probably 9:5:1 no compression releases, 10 or higher wont turn over without..
@@matcltn I am pretty sure S&S Runs 10:1 on their SH93H crate motor. The duel spark heads is what helps with the higher compression! Also high octane gas VP 110 will push a high compression motor!

@MandMChoppers Anyone can throw parts at an old bike and do the same - what's your point? My point is that it's wiser to start with a better platform and push the limits from there than to intentionally handicap yourself. But to each their own I guess.

PS - How was I to know it was a vintage 1973 chopper? The video is too blurry to make out details, and you don't mention it in the description. My point was that trying to make a chopper fast is like trying to make a minivan fast. Sure, it can be done, but "fast" and "quick" are relative terms, and it seems rather pointless. Besides, I'll bet if you count the cost of the mods up, add the price of purchase and restoration, the Ducati is cheaper. :P

@MandMChoppers I could compare a stock 600cc sportbike of any variety within the last 15 or so years and stomp this time. For example, the average MSRP of the below bikes is about 13k - the Duc being the highest at 15.5k, and the Honda at the lowest at 13.4 2009 Superbike Ducati 1198 10.09 @ 139.9 mph Honda CBR1000RR 9.68 @ 138.8 mph Kawasaki ZX-10R 10.05 @ 141.5 mph Suzuki GSX-R1000 10.01 @ 141.9 mph Yamaha R1 10.53 seconds @ 137.5 mph
