Triangle Plata submission for BJJ / Jiu-Jitsu
มุมมอง 4313 ปีที่แล้ว
Triangle Plata is a combination of a Triangle and Omoplata. It's geared for use specifically for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Gi. Can also work well for Sambo. KEY DETAILS: • Secure their arm using the lapel underneath the armpit. How deep your grab the lapel will depend on your wrist durability. • You must step over their arm with the leg closest to their head (left leg ion video). The step must...

Takedown Counter/ Reversal - Experimental BJJ/ Jiu-Jitsu
มุมมอง 6563 ปีที่แล้ว
This counter/ reversal is a nice trick to have up your sleeve. Has been a nice flashy takedown technique to use in Wrestling. The few times I've used in BJJ/ Jiu-Jitsu it work smoothly as takedown counter. In Wrestling I did it when my opponent would try to run me out of bounds as a stalling tactic or they simply couldn't hold me down. In BJJ/ Jiu-Jitsu it's important to keep control of the han...

    This is my default when I am able to get behind someone and we are both standing. Within the rulesets of BJJ, is there anything I need to worry about in order to make sure that a mat return isn't considered a slam?

    • @abreujiujitsu
      @abreujiujitsu 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I apologize for the delay. As long as they don't land on their neck it should be fine. Usually suplexes are the throws that get called for slamming. Also any slam used to escape submissions.

    • @abreujiujitsu
      @abreujiujitsu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends what's he open for. If he's postured nore upright that head on inside (blast double). The lower of a stance he has then shooting feels smoother.

    • @abreujiujitsu

    • @abreujiujitsu

      Grapplers are always fishing for underhooks as their top control. Do to that they are open many times for the Fireman's.

    How do you avoid the crucifix?

    • @abreujiujitsu
      @abreujiujitsu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a couple of things that help avoid the crucifix. 1. Aim to toss them more diagnial towards the front. 2. When you drop/ shoot directly underneath them pulling on the elbow/ arm will toss them over the top. These cause them to be to far over the top to work the crucifix.

    Instead of straightening out his leg is it possible to hit this using your block leg in a scissoring motion?

    • @abreujiujitsu
      @abreujiujitsu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. Yes you can also perform a scissor sweep movement with your legs. My suggestion is be ready for if they pass you keep the kimura and spin under bringing your leg to the other side. That should open up another kimura sweep or back take. Understand?

    • @abreujiujitsu
      @abreujiujitsu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no. If they pull guard at the same time you shoot, posturing will expose your neck more for the choke. Like everything, timing is the deal breaker.

    Question: Do you get opponents who use his (non-posting) hand and go under your sweeping leg(in this case your Right leg) as you start to open your legs? That way he still gets swept but easier to escape as you will land with 1 knee around his elbow area (no longer in mount). Just curious cause i got this opponent who does this and i am unsure if it is because i opened my guard too much

    • @abreujiujitsu

      If I understand you correctly, they will be reaching with one arm while leaving the other exposed. Sounds like a Triangle would be what I transition too.

Please keep the content coming, your stuff if quality. Maybe some more Russian tie/2 on 1 videos? Some combos or options off of it? Also, what do you think about breaking the back clinch with a hip thrust, wrist grab/kimura grip, and rolling while turning into the opponent with one shin used against the opponents leg to roll on top? Ive had it work a few times just cant hesitate on it. Thanks again
