I want to buy such great car❤
Such an incredible car and skill. Im thinking of getting one as my first track car, what did you do to the suspension to make it handle so great? If you dont mind me asking
Thank you, very kind of you, I have tried various coilovers from KW to BC, my car is currently on custom BC's, with heavy spring rates, but I would suggest for you to buy just the normal road BC's that they offer
@L.r.e_motorsport the fact that you replied to a comment on such an old video is crazy thank you man
@ all good my friend, I try to reply to everyone, YT doesn't notify me about anything on this video, I think because of how old it is, so I have to actually open the video and look through the comments
Looks waay better! Would reccomend red OEM Renault seatbelts or ones representing the french flag, dont forget to put on fresh wiper blades from Bosch! Great video and work! I reccomend upgrading ur radio/nav to the R link Screen from the Megane facelift 2014 and its OEM + touchscreen! : D
Thanks man, much appreciated, ironically I used to have yellow seatbelts, but I sold them for like £200 back in 2018, I was stupid really, live and learn, I bought black ones as I wanted to tone down the yellow, as originally my car was yellow seatbelts, yellow seats, yellow car, it was all a bit much 😂 I will look into the head unit for next year, the car is now already off the road, but soon as spring comes, it'll be back, and I can properly enjoy it now
Hello big boy it's the selco massive where you been 😂
Haha, hello mate, I'm getting bloody withdrawal symptoms, they don't send me your way anymore
What brake discs are you using?
These are EBC discs, with custom ordered pads
У меня есть такая. Классная тачка..
Thank you
me and my pals was on the nurburgring, with my 2.6 v6 omega, it was awsome
Nice one mate, manual?
@@L.r.e_motorsport yes manual, 196hp on the dyno. we was 1000km from home, so i dont send it full, but it was still good
@@Mong00se ah nice, good power from a 2.6, going again?
It’s really nice to see a performance Omega! What is the weight of the beast now?
To be honest there really aren't that many, certainly not as far as I have gone, and it really is a beast haha It's 1350kg, 1260kg without the cage, so not too bad for a 5 meter luxury saloon, originally it was 1760kg
This Omega is dope. How much do it weight?
Thank you, much appreciated, it comes in at 1350 kilos, 1260kg without the cage, so still relatively heavy, but still not bad considering the size of the car, and still all original panels etc, originally the car weighed 1760kg
Love my three 3.2 Omegas, had them for twenty years ...not tweaked ,but just a few upgrades and going to regret having to be eventually forced to scrap them due to the net zero crap.
Why will you have to scrap them, don't worry about that, it won't effect old cars, certainly not in our lifetime to worry about, otherwise that would result in every internal combustion engine you see on the road today being scrapped, isn't going to happen, fear not
Great video pal keep the content coming
Thanks mate, I'll try my best
VW Golf destroy the Omega in 20 sec. 😂😂
Considering the golf has 200hp more, a DSG gearbox, a shed load more torque, and this was at the bottom of the up hill climb, I'd say that it isn't that impressive, the fact that I actually catch him at the mini karrussell, my all out average speed was higher, so absolutely not destroyed buddy 😁
Great-sounding great car love the omega
Thank you, much appreciated, it's a beast
Thanks for your videos, I enjoyed all of them. Your Omega looks amazing. Whats the rims size on it? Mine is a 2002 3.2 in black color stock look. I bought it with Irmscher's 18" rims and took them off as I feel they were too big for the Omega not suiting its overall driving. Actually with 16" rims and 225-55-16 tyres as I like the look and confort of bigger balloons 😅
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed them, so my wheels were custom ordered, they are actually 17 inch wheels, as I wanted the performance, and I also wanted to go for a more old school racer look, of large sidewall tyre, as well as having the performance benefit, front tyres are 255 can go to 265 and rears are 285, and can push it to 295, tarmac rollers 😂 I personally don't like the irmisher wheels, I like the elite wheels, I think they suit a stock Omega the best
Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching it! Just had a 2000 km trip with my Omega to Hungary and back and loved every minute of it.
Thanks for having a watch, ahh nice, the perfect car for the job, these cars are made to eat up the miles
The looks and sound of this car is amazing 😎👌
Thanks man, honestly in person it gets 10x better
I remember you saying to me like 12 years ago maybe longer that you did the omega build because no one else does. Always liked your car 🤘🏻
To be honest, pretty much still the only one still, cheers mate
@@L.r.e_motorsport i have 1 but i dream to put there LS
@@ats1gn yeah me too, one day I will do this as well
Do you have AC?
No, but I wish I did 😂
@@L.r.e_motorsport Ditching the car AC for weight savings is a dumb move. You'll be a sweaty mess in no time, and that's no fun in the heat. I still have a AC, you can always switch it off. Its better than looking like a Tijuana streetwalker 😂
@@ats1gn well I done it at a time when I was addicted to trying to make the car as light as possible, and truth be told, there is no race car in the world with AC, and I also done it years before I took all the glass out and window mechanisms, so yeah now I drive around constantly feeling like I have heat stroke, it's horrendous, definitely a bad move taking the AC out
this tree is called Maibaum and it´s a tradition in germany =)
I know lol, I was being facetious, it was just a joke for the UK audience that might not know 😁
Always wondered what a trip to 'The Ring' would entail and be like to actually make the journey... After watching this video I felt like achieved 'all of the wonder' about it and it felt like I was travelling with you! I really 'Enjoyed the Ride' and your banter, being so engaging!' Looking forward to your 'Steam Rally' video this weekend 12/13 July...at 'Woodcote Oxfordshire'
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, much appreciated
Great video. I love seeing the omega on the road and track keep that car going as I love the omega, which makes me smile . From one omega fan to another 👍
Thanks man, yeah don't worry, even though I have time away from it, it comes in waves, just hopefully I don't leave it 3 years this time
Hello. What did you do with gearbox? Quick shifter?
It is a custom quick shifter, I still have miles more adjustment, but I need to replace a few things first
I'm happy to see the car on the race track again! 😁
It's good to be back, thanks for the watch
Awesome and he was wearing his fire rated air cooled tee shirt, I would like to see this car going around Bathurst Australia
That would be awesome
300zx must live
Unfortunately I sold it

This Is Omega... Wow😮😮😮 Omega,Hmm. Cult Cars Good Luck.man🎉🎉🎉
Thanks man, it really is an epic car
In learning more about the mechanics and workings of the 'basics' of a car than I ever knew before .. you make it all so much easier to understand!... Thank you! And Good Luck for your trip to the 'Nurberg Ring!' Looking forward to seeing your 'Track Days!'...
Hi. Cool that you're going to be shooting more videos from the Nurburgring again. I hope you meet up with Sharudin🤞 By the way, I put a 5.2kg lightweight flywheel and a new clutch kit from a Saab 2.3 turbo on my MV6. The engine revs up more quickly now, but the problem is that I now always have to keep the revs at 1500 or it starts to vibrate.
Hi there, I actually am currently out there now, heading back home soon, thanks for the watch Yes this is absolutely an upgrade that I have wanted to do for years now, just having gotten round to doing it, kind of waiting for my clutch to go, and then that will give me the excuse to change it, with the lightened flywheel
Had several omega’s, broke my heart selling my last one but i will get it back one day 🤞🤞🤞
Oh no, well if it's gone to a good home, at least you'll know you could get it back in good shape
If the recommended is7 Litres then stick to the 7 Litres as the oil Expands when heating up, also wait for the oil to settle after oil change, I'd say roughly an hour afterwards then check levels.
I do make sure I run the car up to temp, let it settle for a good while, 7 litres is what I always run, but quite often it doesn't show up as full on the dipstick, not sure why
My friend had a silver Omega 2.5 V6 for the ring. Basically just thrown together with some cheap parts and an entirely empty interior. It was a blast! Easily the most fun lap I've ever done on the ring!
They really are great cars, people sleep on them, but lots of fun as you have experienced, and very capable if you go to the lengths I have
Instagram??
Yes, but I don't use it anymore, it's...... L.r.e_motorsport
😍 so many questions
Ask away my friend
Seen it on instagram thought it was class couldn’t find who owned it until your TH-cam popped up on Facebook page there I have a 3.0 elite with custom exhaust and BC coilovers was wondering what all was done to yours
@@OnlyAli-ye8kr ah I see, well to be fair, if you check my instagram, you'll see the pictures and progress updates on there, but much of this car is custom, stuff I have done in my own time, or got someone else to fabricate for me
@@OnlyAli-ye8kr basically BC's on customs springs (special order), 17" 11Jx9J wheels, on AR-1s, custom tubular manifolds on a custom exhaust, lots and lots of cutting and welding, plastic windows, probably loads I have forgotten
@@L.r.e_motorsport ahh mint I was looking for manifolds but couldn’t find any I was also wondering if you have a chassis mount shifter I have also been looking one of them but it might have to be a universal one if that’ll even work
Should spend sometime on mine see if I can put pic up so you can see as these beasts are worth saving
Me and my dad got our 3.2 v6 auto elite and ran it for the first time in 6 years today. Sounds beautiful 😍
Oh wow, that's great news, get it back on the road soon!
nice video! I was thinking about buying the 2.2 inline four version of omega.
Yeah why not, I would say try and get a V6, much nicer engine for the size car
@@L.r.e_motorsport or M57
Great video pal cars looking great
Thanks mate, not long until I leave now
@L.r.e_motorsport great pal look forward to seeing it at the nurburgring
So I moved to Canada from England in 2008. The Omega is badged as a Cadillac Catera over here haha!
Yeah same car but with a hideous chrome grill
Vice Grips garage has gotten awfully British and in shape 😂
Well I'll be dipped!
Love the Omega! I have 3 myself! (Or for the Brits a Carlton and 2 Omega's)
Thanks mate, oh nice, an Omega A, what model?
@@L.r.e_motorsport No problem. Love the video. I have a 1992 Omega C20NE, 1997 Omega B1 MV6 X30XE and a 2003 Omega B2 X32XE.
@@OmegaGarage oh nice, a nice array of choices lol, do you find the 3.0L pulls harder than the 3.2? or do you find it the other way around, to me it felt like the 3.0 just pulled the clock faster, maybe it could be mine is a good one
@@L.r.e_motorsport Thanks. Yeah the 3.0 is a bit more happy to make revvs etc.
Lotus Carlton ❤❤
Can't wait to see what happens with it pal good luck
Cheers mate, lots more to come
@L.r.e_motorsport you're welcome pal awesome can't wait
