    Such clean, beautiful foliage. How do you keep the leaf rollers off? Or do you have leaf rollers in your area?

    I know this is a few years old. But I've been looking into doing the same thing with a 12X24 HF carport. Once I get the floor built, start saving up to make it a permanent structure. By adding to the metal frame and then drying it out, adding insulation, drywall and peg boards, AC, hopefully, and then heat. I have an 8X12 metal shed I'm probably going to add to it. But I've one question. Where's a good place to get decent pallets? Or is it a "Strategically Transfer Equipment To Alternate Location" strategy sort of thing? If I did the math correctly, I'm going to need roughly 35. More if I round up.

      Hi @goldriderlc . Thanks for reaching out to us. If you do alot of gardening, it's certainly something to look into. There are alot of different ones out on the market and tons of videos on building you own worm farm. Like I always say in the videos, the best part about having it is not only the worm castings that I get but a place to get rid of all our table scraps and not sending it to the landfill. Thanks for watching! Jackie & Dan

    Hi;) I know this is a year old but I want to make this table. I’m in the Buffalo NY area and have fallen in love with my cannas and other tropicals. I started in a green house early and everything went great. Now it’s almost time to pull them and clean. I think ur frame is made out of metal or aluminum?Did you buy or build? I’m wondering if I could get away with PVC?I’m thinking it would be lighter to carry than wood, and easier to store. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

      Hi @reneecle . Thanks for reaching out to us. Glad there are some canna lovers in Buffalo ;-) . Yes, the shaker table that we use in the video is our own creation. It's called Hercules ;-) . It is made of metal but extremely light. We actually used pipes from a chain link fence that you can buy at Home Depot. So very light and weather resistant. We've been planning on making a video on how to build it but if you're interested to see a little more about it, you can check out the following video where we introduced it: th-cam.com/video/ldzzl3BxSAs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ns0QTaLlRPFg9KV4 . The video is about The Hungry Bin Worm Farm but about 1/2 way into it, I introduce Hercules and show everyone how I use it to sort the worms out from the castings. Check it out, I think you might find it interesting. Thanks for watching! Jackie and Dan

    So why didn't you need any gravel or and or any of the other usual bases for pouring concrete? I already did mine and I'm just seeing this video so I'm wondering did I do all that work for nothing?

    • @jdgardensnj4563
      @jdgardensnj4563 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi @apbernard . Thanks for reaching out. The Walk Maker template was designed as a simple DIY project that needed very little surface prep. The concrete, once poured in the template, forms to the inconsistencies in the ground to give it a flat surface. There is always a chance that if your ground/soil is very soft, that the stones can shift after awhile. For our area, our soil is extremely shale-y. So it's like we're building on a slab of concrete anyway. LOL. That being said, if you went through the trouble of leveling off and creating a better base for the template, your path is going to look THAT much better than everybody elses :-) . Hope this helped. Thanks for watching! Jackie & Dan

      @jdgardensnj4563 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi @sandeeramm3968 . Thanks for reaching out. Well, it's alot of hard work, keeping them trimmed and groomed but it does become a labor of love :-) . But I will say, it's been getting more difficult as we add more cannas to each planter bed. As far stopping the rhizomes from growing into each other, we add dividers in the ground before we plant to stop that from that happening. You can see an example of that in a short video that we made here: th-cam.com/users/shortsxzQVailx1u4?si=4SkE9cUcNmE69Qba. We will be doing our 2024 garden Walk Through video this weekend. So keep an eye out for it in the upcoming week or so. Thanks for watching! Jackie & Dan

    What happens if a pod gets knocked off greenish yellowish and the seeds are white??! Can they be cured to finish?

    • @jdgardensnj4563
      @jdgardensnj4563 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi @MelissaM83, Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, no. Seeds have to be fully formed (black) to have a chance of being really viable. We wish they would because at the end of the season, right before the frost, we have hundreds of pods that didn't finish forming and we have to throw them all out. 😢 So the best thing is to not disrupt the seed pods until they look like a peanut shell and you see the black seed...and you'll be fine. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. -Jackie and Dan-

    Can you put a layer of dirt in the cracks to start it out then finish with polymeric sand? I assume this would save on sand being that it seems to be expensive, but i’m cheap😊

    • @jdgardensnj4563
      @jdgardensnj4563 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi @dougrichardson1980 . Thanks for reaching out to us. I don't see why not. The only thing I can think of that might give you a problem is keeping a consistent depth of the dirt below so that you have a decent layer of the polymeric sand so you won't get cracking. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! Jackie and Dan

    I have a new Toro lithium, it sucks, drive wheel fell off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Two others have the same problem. Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safety Commission case number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.
