I know coffee is low in oxalates but it was making my histamine issues worse. In fact when I quit I feel better incrementally. My digestion gets better, I don't get the histamine reactions I get to even my so called safe foods and I'm able to introduce more and more foods as time goes on. The trick is staying off it because I like the taste of it so much with some half and half. The half and half isn't a problem because I use it in other things, I've tested that as well. I think there's a fight/flight state factor for me having CPTSD. I also have found some sources saying it's high in salicylates. So that could be a factor too. Broccoli is high in silicates too as well as being a sulfur food though and I don't seem to react to that. But then I'm not juicing it and drinking it like I'm addicted to it either so maybe that why.

Man I love your channel because you know what you’re talking about. None of the functional doctors I’ve spoken with know this much. The last one just wanted me to take no thyroid progesterone and stay on diet forever. Do you use the shoemaker protocol or Neil Nathan’s way to do mold detox? I’m curious if Sam-e can cause a withdrawal on neurotransmitters I see on surviving antidepressants a few people have had withdrawal from it. I took it for while I took it every morning and it made me Tired all day I think with no drive to do anything i’m also trying to take into consideration. I was in a car accident and I ended up with a concussion at the same time. I was taking that whenever I got off of it I ate a mango that I had been eating all summer decided that I wanted to be allergic to it.i am allergic to poison ivy and they are part of the poison ivy family

If MTHFR compromises detoxing capabilities in the body, toxins and molds can build up in the body, and cause a histamine response. If you are constantly exposed to an irritant and you can't detox it and flush it out, it would build up and create a histamine reaction. I don't see how you can say it doesn't play a role .

I'm just figuring out now that I very likely have histamine intolerance after quite a few years of not only digestive issues but many other symptoms that have come and gone. I will say one thing that I've noticed that really helps me and will not likely be very popular. When I give up coffee/caffeine I notice a big difference in how I feel. More calm as caffeine triggers a fight/flight response, but I am also able to steadily increase the variety of the foods I can tolerate. Also, I will add, I've tried decaf, because I do like the taste of coffee with some cream or half and half. But I have an even worse reaction to decaf. And just in case you're thinking it's the dairy I'm reacting to and not the coffee, I know I can tolerate dairy without the coffee because I've had it when off coffee. I make a yogurt with half and half and even kefir without adverse reactions. Kefir is especially high in histamines. But I've had no issues in the past when stress levels are down. My life is stressful rn. My significant other has been recently dx'd with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Coffee is my last unhealthy coping mechanisms. I have CPTSD (Complex Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) myself and my entire life has been full of stress. I have used a lot of unhealthy coping strategies; cigarettes, alcohol, weed and junk food. One by one I've had to give them up because of the pain they've caused, that I'm now figuring out is likely histamine intolerance. I mean it's just as well of course. But those substances carry their own adverse effects and likely contributed to the histamine intolerance themselves. My body is now telling me it's past due I now give coffee the boot as well. And despite the reactions it gives me, I'm having a heckuva time quitting it.

Do you have anything on progesterone intolerance? I believe that I have progesterone intolerance I was on benzodiazepine for 12 years. I did not have PMDD that bad but once I have came off it has turned into really bad before I would just get me now my body doesn’t want to live when I start my period I have severe histamine intolerance. I don’t think my functional doctor knows how to treat this. It is a male. He just keeps trying to give me progesterone and that just keeps making me more depressed and anxious.

Sulfur foods cause my eczema. Apparently, I have too many sulfur priducing bacteria in my gut. I'm certain I have SIBO and candida. I was born 3 months premature in 1968 and formula fed. First cow's milk formula had a bad effect on me, so they switched me to soy. My dad is a sadistic pedo psychopath, and my mom was jealous of his attention to me and she attacked and beat me a lot. So I have severe PTSD from all of that. Then I had 8 mercury amalgam fillings in my teeth. And then I took daily oral Tetracyclene antibiotics for acne from age 17 to age 22. Being a single mom working 30 degrading poverty wage jobs where I was horribly bullied during my adult life, getting only 2 hours of sleep a night was also horribly stressful to the point I almost suicided a few times. Now I am sworn single for life, as my three exes were abusive and the last one was a stalker. And I am living on Disability. And I am on the carnivore diet, trying to reclaim my gut from the candida and SIBO takeover.

Love your videos, Joanne!! Thank you for your ongoing efforts to educate a public that has been so misled and deceived on matters of health. In addition to what you just explained about vitamin A, I wondered if you were aware of the research showing that supplements of B12 have also been shown to contribute to acne, as they have been shown to alter the transcriptome of the skin microbiome, causing them to produce porphyrins (= photo-induced inflammation!) instead of their usual corrins (pyroles containing cobalt).

🙏wonderful presentation and summary on Methylation. I am super excited to learn about vitamin b6 deficiency could be a contributing factor to Oxalate buildup in the body. I think Oxalate is one of those nefarious toxins that many do not know about but is the cause of many many ailments. I am planning to do some mega dosing of vitamin b to see how it improves Methylation. I think the lack of vitamin b like Thiamine could be one of the causal factors for many neurological challenges faced by the elderly. Many thanks for your contributions 🙏

I’ve been carnivore for 5 months but have broken a few times and ended up so sick again. I was reported over 5 years back that I had high oxalates. I was eating all organic super foods and had the worst health ever. Getting IV’s iron and was deficient in my B’s. If only people can understand this more. I believe the greater population has high oxalates and histamine levels. Look at all the underlying health problems and inflammation with just about everyone. It all starts here
