Im old school. I still have my original 336 from nineteen eighty. Not sure why you don't celebrate that safety bolt more, because the only way to empty that magazine is to rack the slide and chamber a round. Now, with the safety, i'm much more confident, emptying the magazine.

Will it shoot 41 mag or .410 shot ?

I've been a Marlin fan for decades; I have four JM Marlins (22, 44, 444, 45-70 GG) and love them all. I think the Ruger-Marlins are the best yet. Nobody but Ruger could have resurrected Marlin and made them even better. I do like your Trapper; I don't need one, but can easily see getting one! (need has nothing to do with it).

Went to get an SBL out of layaway, seen a Trapper on the shelf, brought the Trapper home, SBL still in layaway. It seems I may have a problem!! : )

The only thing i dislike is that ugly rail on such a beautiful lever...

You think the shorter barrel has a down side with Velocity and range, with the already slow travelling 4570... or not much slower?

I have one, and its the last gun I would ever sell. It is just ergonomic, comfortable to shoot. It can also be a EDC gun, or a duty gun. It just does it all

What is the trigger weight in kg? Is the trigger fluid? Does it affect accuracy in rapid fires?

I have an 8040F 40S&W, but I also have a 8000F 9mm slide and barrel which is a quick change out. They both work without any issues, I modified some 92 mags and also got some ProMags for the 9mm and they both work great.

Double action only? Once again Beretta takes an amazing concept and fucks it up entirely

That's looks like the SBL, not the Gudie Gun. The Guide Gun is blued and has standard sights, not Skinner ghost rings

Do you prefer the Guide series or the Trapper overall for hunting?

I think this gun would have looked better without the engraving but that's just me.

I'm a younger guy who is mostly into ARs and 9MMs but I gotta say, something about the 45-70 Marlin Dark Series is really speaking to me. I think im gonna get myself a big bore lever gun!
