If they made his ult continuously drop armor packs I think he would feel a lot better

As a rocket main, you really have to pick and choose when youre "heal botting". Its better to support your team by popping off dmg inbetween healing but also when an enemy is already at lower health. It allows you to continue healing more and for your team to refocus on other enemy team members

For me, it's C&D["It's co-op time!"], Sue ["Shield's up!"] and Loki["Bring on the Chaos"] that fade too much into the background. I miss Starlord's one too, but more because his ult line ["Alright!"] just doesn't register as an ult sound - it's just too generic that it just sounds like an 'affirmative' bark.

love the gameplay, people say he's just a healbot but the damage on his gun up close is actually pretty good. youre not supposed to shoot it long range especially that it has slow projectile speed and very big damage falloff.

I dont disagree with you.....but i could see how rocket was a huge reason your team lost. Enemy team CnD was 19/3 16.5k healing. If you played Sue and kept your tank/Magik/Wolverine healed better then your CnD could have done more DPS. That would prevent a few deaths from Magik and Mag, snowballing into a win. Plus Sue Ult is superior to Rocket's. Having said that, Magik and Wolverine threw. But you could have won the game for them.

I'm C&D OTP but have been learning RR from your videos. Can you please make a guide on the specific areas in each stage where the wall run up/sideways is useful? That's one aspect of the unique "game sense" that Rocket doesn't share with other characters.

Im noticing you're not really utilizing Rockets mobility when you're in trouble. If you quickly wall climb and press his boost as soon as you mount the wall, it will shoot you straight up into the air as if it was a double jump ability. I find wall running diagonally up a pole and using boost to chain wall climbs makes it very hard for enemies to keep eyes on you. Ive been able to stall points for an absurdly long time or even shake a clingy enemy that wont leave me alone. His movement is top tier if you know how to use it ;3

Im not the best by any means, but I main Rocket myself and got to diamond solo using exclusively rocket. I personally like to treat his heal orbs like a Moira orb and bounce them off walls so they'll bounce back at me or my teammates.

Niceee gameplay of an aggressive rocket main. Playing on console can be rough for tracking targets since I'm used to K&M. Rockets primary really shreds tanks if you are within 10m and land consistent headshots. Its just if you shoot from range its no stronger than a water gun lol.

first hero shooter and have played around with thor and some dps, but settled on rocket eventually. seemed like an easier healer and im constantly getting 30k+ heals but this video pointed out a lot of mistakes and is super super helpful thank you :)

As a newer player to these kinds of games, who really is looking to play Rocket better, I love your videos man! A quick question though, I feel like even as rocket sometimes I really struggle when I'm up against a heavy dive team (multiple dive DPs, magik, spiderman, BP, etc.) Just hounding me in the backlines all game. My team pretty much always leaves me to fend for myself, so I wind up always on the run, not able to be as effective on heals. As a newer player I'm wondering how much of this is a skill issue on my part, or if it's a problem with my friends I play with spreading out too much, and not helping in the backlines at all. Do I aggressively move into the frontline? For reference, a lot of my friends like to play dives tanks and DPS, Thor, Hulk, Wolverine, Magik, etc. So again I'm just kind of wondering what I should be doing differently or maybe communicating better to my team. Have you done anymore testing on if bouncing furst is better? Personally something about it kajes me feel they move faster because of the bounce

Yo, tip. The c.y.a is better used when someone is about to die, instead. If you throw it far away last second. The can revive on the place you threw it as long as it doesn't get destroyed. I've used it like that and it works.

He's a aight combo with cloak cuz of the heal boost, but it's for such a short time that it isn't worth it

There's a couple of issues with this though. For starters Venom never pops his shield when near death as most of them do, and Luna will always be moving around at high speeds when she's ulting. Couple that with her really tiny hitbox and you'll have a much more difficult time consistently landing your shots. Unless your Punisher has godlike aim? All it takes is one tiny miss and Luna will be back to full HP. The most effective way of dealing with Luna's ult is a one shot ult like Scarlet Witch or Iron Man, but both of those have very easy counters. EDIT: Also forgot to mention damage drop off at certain ranges also should be taken into consideration.

Tbh this makes playing rocket even more fun, sadly in my Gold elo i dunno if I can afford not spamming orbs. When i do, people still drop down here. (Still gonna try it 🤓) And what you said about the nests and squids, will be something i focus more now as support. I thought dps should take care of those, or anyone for that matter, most people just stand on ankhs and stay there not even noticing their health draining out of them.

It seems like everyone in season 1 does this because they see other people do it. It doesn’t work for everyone.

The major support game sense is line of sight if you can see your team you can heal them. If you can also see the enemy you can damage them. With raccoon you have enough mobility to get in the right position to do both and reset if the enemy looks at you. You can also shoot and put out heal orbs at the same time. SHOOT HEALS OFF WALLS and also help with damage. You’re a strategist not a healer
