Color tone, and visuals for the most part, we no this is not historical, but in terms of aesthetic it feels much more earthy, and tonal to overall image, I guess that is why all movies dont have the best accrucy with history,

No the colors and tones are fine, it's the fine details on the costumes. Pure fantasy viking à là Hollywood style, specially the leather armor on viking #2 . It makes it look too imperial Roman, instead a byzantine varangian guard armor would have been more suited. Overall the photography was good, specially the wide angle scenic shots, very beautiful it really captures the beauty of nature in a sort of natural state. A lot of directors don't do that today, they just use it as background... Small criticism if I may, you need to work on that second death scene. Where's the knife? It's not clear how the girl got killed, or how the protagonist killed him.

@@liamvandenberk I’d love that, I want to film stuff like this all the time but I live in Akron Ohio so I need to get crafty. Would love to hear about your process while working with models and directing them etc

@codylarosa your best bet would be to set up a test shoot with a agency, hit them up and ask if there is any new models keen to shoot, and or ask a friend, 🤘

​@@liamvandenberk. Keeping it original is fine, but also it is important to keep some historical accuracy. Specially with today's more knowledgeable growing public. Besides all the possible story plots already exist, there's only so many twist and turns that can be put in a story before it becomes too confusing or unwatchable. My question is, why you didn't used the resources that are free on the internet? More intriguing is why you didn't used reenactment groups for the info and costumes/ equipment, even the viking museum would have provided for a small mention in the credits? What, are they starting to charge too much money for it now? Or is it the screen actors and writers guild that is making it difficult?

Hey man, 80% of the crew was reenactment, we worked as a team, ate food all as one, and camped on the land, so we where rather traditional, yes we had a lot of there equipment and am very grateful, all there names are in the credits! @@tatumergo3931

@@liamvandenberk . Well that just makes me glad. Let me just say that your film is much much better than many other independent films out there about the same genre. I just watch that other one that's circulating now, and I must say it doesn't even makes the mark. Yours could be easily be turned into a major feature production. It reminded me a bit of the small budget Icelandic production When the Raven Flies, but yours seems to have more meat in it (better photography, more subject matter) and not too over the top dramatic.

I use a mixture of lenses, arri prime, Leica sum, modern Leica, ziess sp1 & 2 & 3, suri animorphic, cook ano, standard cook s4, vazin anomorphic
