Hey Ryan, I've watched this video three times now - before I bought it, right after to learn how to get the best of it... And now for a refresher. I have been away from playing guitar, so I haven't messed much with it and ended up forgetting how to use it. I now also came back because this video is simply great, and because I've got myself my first ever guitar amp (I was using a general use amplifier, and before it just the Element's headphones output). What I want to know is how you wire it - the manual gives nanh options, but all going into the front imput. But since my amp has an FX Loop, I want to use that so I can better use the drive from the amp (without muddying my modulation). I'm crying for hell though, because there's not much info on this hidden gem of a multifx unit, and mine is giving me low noisy volume if I plug it in the fx loop. The amp is factory assembled with a grounded plug that goes into a properly grounded outlet, and it doesn't matter if I use the Harman ps that came with it or my chinese isolated ps, it keeps being noisy unless I bypass it completely (and eventually take it off my pedalboard)... What do I do about it? How do you wire it?

Why the hell does the wah not even do anything

Hi there, I am 6 years late, but very useful video. Just wondering how you would rate the sounds and sound quality on this unit in 2023. Especially when compared to other budget pedals like the NUX MG300 etc. Finding it hard to decide. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

Hello: I have a question, if you have it connected together with a distortion pedal, do you have to cancel the distortion or just by activating the Mel9 pedal the distortion is already canceled by the pedal itself? thanks greetings.

Master, I feel that on the 4th string there of the 15th or 16 fret the sound drops considerably and just as it goes down to tone towards fret 12 or 10 the sound increases, is this normal in the master pedal?

I have it but is using it for synths not a guitar! Sounds awesome!

It does a good job mimicking a Mellotron keyboard, and the cello sound was quite impressive too.

And I still don't know how to make the expression change pitch

How do i change the place of an effect like if I want to use two effects and i want their preset number side by side so i dont have to scroll through the presets much

One thing I wish the Mel9 (and all the other pedals in this range) had is a footswitch or an input for an extrnal footswitch that could be used to switch between the different instruments. I love to create loops with the Mel9 and it would be great if I could record a cello loop, then hit a switch with my foot to change to strings and play on top of what I'd recorded with the cello setting.

There are analog Mellotrons, digital Mellotrons, Mellotron Apps, VST Mellotron plug-ins and the incredible EHX Mel9. Because you can never have too much Mellotron!
