How much does it COST to charge a Tesla? What’s the RANGE? EV vs GAS cost?
On my channel, I have another video (th-cam.com/video/CFA3iWNQWZY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yPqrL5F8E8TL0DJN) where I talk about this specific extension cord (amzn.to/3WQ2lS0) that I'll sometimes use with my Mobile Connector. And I'll occasionally get comments/questions from people who are about to buy a Tesla, or have just bought a Tesla, wanting to know more about charging.
For a lot of people, this is all still new to them, and it can be tough to put the information puzzle together.
It is my strong belief that: How Available and How Easy it is for you to charge, exponentially affects your EV driving experience. So I hope this video helps answer some of those questions about the different charging options and their respective costs.

    I just purchased a used 2023 CRF125FB,this thing still looks brand new,still has the tits on the tires and the painted stripes, not a scratch on it,question,it shifts strange,from 1st to second gear has a weird clunk,from 2nd to 3rd not so bad but still there,and from 3rd to 4th still there but much quieter,is this normal for this bike ? I have watched youtube videos on this bike and I do hear the noise on some of them,how is yours ? Thanks for the great video

    • @brandonwatsonmedia
      @brandonwatsonmedia หลายเดือนก่อน

      So I do know what you are talking about. To me, the hard shift is something I’m just probably used to from owning lower cc Honda dirt bikes, but I am aware of it. I think one of the things that makes the 125F models so nice are that they are geared so low (especially for first gear) that you can basically just slowly let out the clutch with no throttle and it will just chug along. And though this is great for slow trail riding and for beginners, I wonder if the incredibly low gear ratio doesn’t add to the hard shifting in the low gears. But I will say that these bikes are so bulletproof, that the transmission can take just about anything. With that said, I would strongly recommend that if the oil has not been changed from its initial break in period, I would absolutely do that! It never hurts to verify those levels as well on a new-ish bike. Additionally, I would also verify that your chain tension is at that expected amount of play. I hope this helps - thank you for watching!

    When I was traveling to and through all the lower 48 in 2021 and pulling a Camp trailer, I would charge at each camp site using the 50A power stand in the campsite. Sometimes the mobile charging cord wasn't quite long enough to reach the car, so I made an extension cord. I made it with 6 gauge 3 conductor wire with ground and 1450 male and female ends. In the 6 months on the road and charging every night with this set up, I never experience any over heating issues. Even now, I utilize it all the time at home as the mobile. charger is just to far away to plug in. I'm going on 4 years with this set up without any issue and charge at 24A all the time

    My TTI has the TLR-1 HL and I just returned the mecanik M01 because it wasn't staying zeroed and would dim when it wasnt supposed to. I just ordered the Holosun 508t earlier today. In order to install, do I only need to put the 508t on top of the RMR plate that came with the TTI?

    • @brandonwatsonmedia
      @brandonwatsonmedia 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you take the stock optic plate (the one that matches the look of the slide) off the slide , you will not need to use any adapter plate to mount the 508T to the slide. It just sits in there perfectly. Note: You will use one of the sets of screws that come with the 508T for mounting - not the screws that come on the TTI. It is possible that you could use an adapter plate if you wanted your optic to sit higher, but I like it mounted directly to the slide. Thank you for watching and commenting!

    • @HazardousRob
      @HazardousRob 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is still technically mounted directly to the slide using the provided plate. The plate just add lugs that keep the optic perfectly squared to the gun. The mounting screws still go directly into the slide, and the sights still cowitness with the optic

      Thanks for watching and commenting! Absolutely ZERO issues with this extension cord. It is definitely not a dime store quality cord - it is a high quality product. Again, I use a Level 2 charger at my house for 99.9% of all my charging needs. And if it is feasible for someone to get a Level 2 charger at their residence, then that is really what you need to maximize your daily EV driving experience. I have used this extension cord a handful of times now on vacation or staying at a friend's house and it works flawlessly - and most importantly - I feel safe with using it.

      That’s a good question. The 508T comes with 4 different sizing sets of mounting screws and I believe I used one of those. If I remember correctly, the default screws that hold the default TTI optic plate - the one that matches the look of the gun - will not work.

      @@HazardousRob you thought you were smart and would take a shot at a stranger and try to feel superior by attending to make him feel dumb. I know how to turn off the circle. I don’t like the 2moa size which happens to come with a circle. I was describing the reticle by calling it a circle dot. I surely don’t use it in this configuration. How about you learn some manners?! I want a 6moa dot with an RMR footprint.

      Yes. @PewpewswithMr.X has a great video th-cam.com/video/urEP7zqlmsQ/w-d-xo.html breaking down a Canik TP9 which demonstrates this same type of operation for switching the magazine release to the left side. Thank you for watching!

      That’s the great thing about the 508T is that you don’t need a mounting plate for the TTI Combat. It fits perfectly on there just the way it is. So no, I did not use one of the included plates - but I guess you could if you wanted the optic positioned higher.

      For that particular model - the QAP1BE - you swipe on the finger sensor. Different models may just have you press and hold, so definitely check the manual.

    Apparently, the Blackhawk T-Series Glock 17 RDS/Light Compatible Holster fits the Canik TTI Combat flawlessly. I recently found a video of another TH-cam showing the fitment. I'm still trying to find out if any Safariland Series 6 or 7 holsters will fit it, like the Canik SFX one. Lvl 2 specifically.

      @brandonwatsonmedia 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for the recommendation! Yeah, I guess it's going to be a little while before all the manufacturers get one made specifically for the TTI Combat. Incidentally, about two weeks ago, I had written Alien Gear Holsters to ask them about holster options and they wrote me back with (and I quote) "Not too sure if this will be added or is on the list to be done internally or not as we have not seen anything about these." ?! They have not seen anything about one of the hottest new handguns on the market?! Ok then ...

    • @brandonwatsonmedia
      @brandonwatsonmedia 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I feel that question might be the most important one to consider. A BIG part of your "Tesla Experience" will greatly depend on how free you feel you are to just charge and drive as you desire. I always recommend to perspective Tesla owners, that if they are able to, you really need to have a Level 2 charger installed at your home. Level 1 charging is going to average only 3 miles of range per hour of charge. For you, that would need to be at least 14 hours of charging time a day with a Level 1 charger. Definitely something to consider.
