    I currently have an Exped downmat 5m but want to update to a newer Exped. Looking at the ultra models, they seem very low denier. I'm used to the tough fabric of the downmat. I don't want to risk the mat going pop. The Dura 6r is 200 GMS heavier than my current mat. I could save weight by going for an ultra. However the tougher fabric of the Dura is a plus for me. I also bought a lighter sleeping bag so getting the ultra would adjust bring the weight up to what my original sleep system was. No loss. Going lighter would mean taking the risk of a mat that isn't as durable. That is a tradeoff I'm not willing to take so I am seriously considering the Dura. Thanks for the video. Very useful for me.

    A tip for you is pump up the sleepingpad and then sit on it and then you let out air untill your butt it touching the ground and the close the valve. Now when you lay down all of your body will distribute all the weight over a bigger area and you will have a pad that is a lot more comfortable and you will sleep very good.

    I hope you are well. Your recent videos look great but aren't reaching your target audience. No matter how good your video is, without proper SEO, keyword research, and correct titles, descriptions, and tags, you won't stand out from your competitors. This results in losing views, which is a big challenge for your channel. Fixing these issues will help you gain more viewers and subscribers, leading to higher rankings on TH-cam, all organically. If you'd like, we can discuss your channel further and provide a report highlighting the issues with your channel. I believe this will be helpful for you. Thank you!

    Omg what a great video! ♥️ 🍓enjoyed this so much! You really had me hooked all the way till the end! I think this topic of video is just so interesting and has so much value! Love seeing more of this! 🔥 I don’t have a similar back ground, I’m just swiss and this video made me appreciate this “clarity” a lot, never something i had to question! I have lived in London for a year and also in Rome and i totally agree with you, it’s such a huge learning experience and just opens your eyes to different ways of culture and life in general! Even tho it’s always been a struggle to find your place in a new country i absolutely love how much i can grow from it as a person and i can’t wait to move abroad again! In Switzerland it’s hard to make friends too, especially for foreigners i think, we’re also the type of people that stick with childhood friends but we are very open to making new friends (contrary to what a lot of people think!) we just have a slow and steady approach! But then usually friendships last bc they’re not superficial ! Here the trick is to join clubs/groups like sports teams or craft clubs or scouts etc, and then from there it’s much easier 🌞 The standard q for swiss People is: oh how expensive is Xyz?! Or everyone thinks it’s just mountains and we only eat fondue 😂🫠 cooler facts people should know in my opinion: We have 7 Presidents, 3 of them women! We have 4 official languages (most speak at least two but not all) French, Swissgerman, Italian and Romansh (which is soo beautiful but slowly dying) ✨🐸 X Joy

    I can relate to your experience. I am half French half American, my mom in French and my dad is American. I grew up in the states and I moved to France as an adult. I definitely don't fit in, in the states and get reverse culture shock going there but I am not an immigrant here(in France) as I was raised in French culture by my mom and have French citizenship since I was born, but I also didn't grow up here so there is no real place I can fit in or people that share my experience. I love your vulnerbility in this video Christina. I love getting to know you more in depth and in some parts of the video I wanted to just hug you. I would love seeing more of this kind of videos. Where we get to know YOU <3 I have gone through the same but by moving inside of Sweden. From the middle (Stockholm) to the north (Umeå). And in the beginning I wasn't fitting in anywhere. People in Stockholm would make fun of the northern dialect I've gotten from moving north when I was on a visit, and when I was back in the north they would point out my Stockholm accent. I know this isn't as bad as your experience, because you're between two countries. I'm still in Sweden. But I do not know where I belong and I understand the feeling of not knowing where I belong. I'm not from the north but I live here, so it have never felt like "my home", I just "moved here" and in Stockholm, it feels like another life. It's gone with the past. So I guess I'm just Swedish hahahah.. And that's enough I guess 😅

    • @chrissyhiking
      @chrissyhiking 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Vanessa! 😊 I'm so glad I made this more vulnerable video. I think a lot of people can relate. Like you said, you even experience not fitting in because of regional differences! It's so difficult figuring out where we belong, especially after moving. 💛

    Living in Scandinavia is like wasting your life, you just work and work and nothing more. Society built here that way! If you don't work, you are not a person and everyone just turns away from you and no one tries to ask you if you need help! If ... Honestly, very selfish people in Scandinavia, it's the same as being a slave under your own life 😞

      Hey! Scandinavia has a lot of positive things, but it sure is a long way from being perfect! I was jobless for a long time and needed help. While I was trying to expand my social network, a lot of people made me feel worthless for not working. Thankfully, these people aren't in my life anymore and I ended up landing a great job! I hope you're doing well wherever you are! Thanks for watching 😊

    You should set up an email for this channel. The comments section isn't long enough sometimes. What a stunning country you live in. And America is so vast and stunning too. Great video 😊

    ❤😂🎉🎉🎉 Hi Christina 😊, So very happy to see you again!!! Ive missed you! I can appreciate your openess and vulnerability!!! I am Dutch American. Lived in both places and even did 2nd grade in the Netherlands. We spoke both languages but mostly English at home. So, i speak dutch but also have a huge accent in dutch. Ive lived in different countries due to being in the Army and live here in America. I am related to about 19 folks in all of America. I can relate to almost all of your video. I never fit in either and get the SAME questions, say something in dutch. You are doing just fine sweetheart and just keep moving forward. Being a people reader and your intelligence will get you far in life and are way ahead of most folks. Keep your head up and be VERY proud of yourself!!!! To me, thats the only crowd you need to fit in!!!😊 I hope you are well and its SO nice to see you again!!! P.s.i love your sweater ❤🎉 Hope you have a happy day and God bless!!!

      Hey countrygirl! thank you so much for your lovely comment! So cool that you are also multicultural, I feel a little less alone 💛 Which other countries have you lived in for the Army? Is it mostly in Europe? Also, I've missed posting videos, it feels good to be posting again. My mom actually knitted this sweater for me! The design is a traditional Norwegian pattern. Hope you also have a lovely, happy day 💛

Thanks for asking, I lived mostly in Germany, but traveled all over to Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands and France. All over America and Hawaii too. Where all have you been? Wow you've been to many places! Very cool! I've been to a few countries in Europe, but there's a lot of the US that I haven't explored that I would love to explore one day (especially Montana, Alaska, and Idaho). 💛🌞

    You can not buy this model anymore, unless you find a used one. If you have one hang on to it as it is awesome.

      Yes this model is fantastic, it's so sad that Garmin is discontinuing it

      I have one, and while the maps were simple it worked. They replaced this with one without a map. Come on Garmin.

    As an Explorer + owner for a few years, id definately reccomend a GPSMAP66i/67i over this unit. The Earthmate app is terrible, even by Garmin standards. This device is effectively a satelite communicator, with very average GPS functionality

      Ahh yes, I've heard a lot of great things about the GPSMAP66i/67i. It's supposed to be a more upgraded version of the Explorer+ with better features and a longer battery life. I like the Explorer+, it fits my needs nicely and I'm happy with it so far 😊

    Elise and I were hiking in the Coachella Valley desert floor, and I observed an unusual plant. Turns out it was a form of Morrell mushroom. Later at a local museum, we saw that species displayed in an exhibit of plants the natives utilized. Good information and editing.
