Just a happy couple starting fresh.
Took a decade to build up our beautiful garden on our city lot, then had to sell when the pandemic hit, lived in a camper for 2 years, now living in our cozy cabin in the woods. 20 plus years together we finally found our slice of heaven!
Building up permaculture and raised bed gardens.
Will add some review and how to videos to return the favor back to the community that helps us here on TH-cam.
Lots of work to do and sometimes I pick up the camera, it's just a hobby.

This year has been lots of cutting down trees and cleaning up trees. Finally got a front yard area fenced in, then got right back to work picking up those last 5 trees that were cut to make way for the fence line up until...
I threw my back out pretty bad while I was cutting logs with Eric. Bent over a chainsaw standing on uneven ground, managed to catch a nerve in my back and pulled a muscle. It totally took me out. Had to walk bent over and limping all the way back in the house. Had to get on the floor and roll this one out and do some targeted at home physical therapy, just to try to get upright again.
I have been in similar position before. Lack of proper practice and exercise on a regular basis building up my foundation... that has fallen to the wayside once again.
This lack of selfcare started when we moved into the camper few years back while I had basically a torn rotator cuff/subscapularis and thus began my slow physical decline also it was covid times. I slipped and fell right after we sold our house in town. I stayed in the camper the whole time with the dogs and watched Eric do it all pretty much by himself. Not much to do in there but cook and eat, plus we were packed to the gills with necessities to live through the winter. Good thing we had a big camper!!
Yoga works.
Had to figure this one out without the help of a physician since my Dr. basically told me to find a recliner to crawl into and do nothing on a bunch of pain killers. A month on them/and the couch, I was tired of just laying around and still had so much pain! I did some digging and decided to go get on the floor and roll around after I found some physical therapy and yoga videos to target the issue. Saw the chiropractor who helped verify I needed PT and what the muscle names are that I should work on. I figured it out with help of my chiropractor, within a week or two I was more upright than I was the whole month before. I then bought a 1-year unlimited pass at my local yoga studio and loved every session. Got to the point if there was a day I didn't go my body actually craved it.
Sooooo, I knew what I had to do for this injury already, get to stretching and back on that yoga mat. I did, and it helped a lot. I am grateful for my chiropractor and wonderful yoga instructors helping me find good stretches and good daily routine. I must get back to that regularly.

Put the trail cam in the Catastrophe for a while to see how they did in their winter hut I made for them. They even have a nice thick dog bed to lay on. Old timer tip, Plant corn directly onto the ground. A good garden needs at least eight hours of sun corn needs sunrise to sunset. He has NO safety gear at all. Get some because stuff happens and when it happens with a chainsaw it is ugly. Farming and ranching are two of the most deadly professions that exist.
I started some indoors because of Boss of the swamp's success, will be my first years with real space to grow some corn, I agree I also need to put it directly in the ground though to be sure ;) yeah... its so hot he has on only gloves, glasses and earplugs, bare min for sure. Taller boots always on for protection. I will remind him he should have a little more on though. We try to clear paths and be safe as we can. Thanks for the Comment Old Timer!! Can you do a review on the biggest blanket you can wash and spin dry please. you can measure but seeing if it will fit in the spin dryer 1st 🎉
I would if I still had it. I sold it since we moved out of the camper into the cabin. I would dry fit it in there first to be sure you like the spacing, to be sure you can get a decent wash and rinse. Id say thinner blankets or throws probably, but not like a large fluffy comforter, in my opinion. Good luck and thanks for asking.

How long it has too take when you hung it up after spin dry
Purchased a twin manual washer stayed with it a couple years before opting for an automatic portable and let me tell you i returned the automatic and repurchased a manual twin. Automatic didnt seem like it cleaned as well as the twin because its so narrow not giving clothes space. I had to put way less clothing which literally doubled or tripled my time. In the end I rather be chained to the twin every minutes knowing its cleaning my clothes really well. The automatic also didnt not spin dry as well leaving clothing very damp unlike the manual. I love with manual that i can spin for 10 min if i wanted to. With automatic I had to run the spin cycle multiple times again it just doubled time in the end.

They recommend using a lid on pots so that the condensation doesn't block the sun's rays. The lack of a lid may have caused a longer cooking time. As a Vegan, I'm interested in how it came out.
It cooked perfectly! I am not sure why I don't have the lid on in this video, I usually use it. I had not read about the condensation, I just wipe up with a towel when done, but didn't think about it bothering the temperature for cooking. Everything came out delicious, cooked well. It was a super hot summer day for this one. Maybe condensation would be more issue in winter? It still worked in this situation for sure though. Thanks for stopping by.

hi V Bo!!! You want to protect the wood from rain above but you still want it to air out regularly. As much wind as possible. When we cut the trees down they are still green and sucking water from the earth. Lots of moisture can build up in enclosed area as it evaporates.

Hi to the neighbors for us 🤗😘🥰 I have 2 that need spay, I have a rescue helping with 1 and need to get funding for the other but then we will have all 4 of the cats that are left here spayed. Grey kitty took off in the fall with her 3 kittens left, 1 a car got. But I havent seen Grey Kitty Alana-nanana. or her kittens since the fall. Cali Claire and her 2 kitens are whats left- they are the 2 needing spay. I seen a male around lately lookin... They about a year old now. Stormy Cat is spayed and inside loving life and actually getting along with the dogs. She is our cat/dog lol. Thanks for watching VBo!

So jealous of the wells. We have too many rocks on my homestead to be able to jackhammer down into the ground. I'll have to drill the whole way to get a good well in.

Our apartment manager keeps the laundry room locked when the office is closed. After 5 pm and weekends are the only times I can do laundry, so the on site laundry facilities is useless. I bought a portable washer (similar to this one) and have been using it for over 2 years. It's so covenient to be able to do laundry any time of day. I wished I had discovered these machines when I was in college.
That is crazy they are allowed to close it at 5 and weekends.... the only time Most working people have to do their chores. smh. Glad you found a way around it.
