Hooked On Herping
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ม.ค. 2011
Hey, everyone! My name is Tony, and I love reptiles and amphibians. Honestly, I love all wildlife, but I get the most joy out of doing field herping. I live right on the state line in the Northeast corner of Maryland. There are so many cool herps in this area. I herp, bird, and hike all throughout the Mid-Atlantic. When I'm lucky, I get to venture to other parts of this country and abroad!
Hope I can keep making videos for you guys!

Great content as always Tony
Tough out there without rain but we made it happen!! Hope it rains this week.
That green snake was awesome dude!! Keep making bangers i enjoy your videos‼️🐍
Already know this video is gonna be great!
I wish we had those in az
That DeKay's was a pretty one! Nice finds.
I'm so envious. I'm in Cecil County and I never find anything flipping. 😒
@@silverthorns126 I live in Cecil County. It can produce if the conditions are right!
Amazing!
I knew that pile was worth checking!
@@anthonycurtiss7411 yeah. The babies love it!
so cool!! these aren't venomous right?
@@fifipoo all Harmless :)
Nice finds!
What do the hatchling eastern rat snakes eat?
@clark2491 pretty much whatever they can find an overpower. This could be invertebrates, small amphibians, and small lizards.
@@TFerrazzo72 i appreciate the response. My brother had one in his room. Id like to try n raise it up.
@clark2491 in that case, it would be best to start it out on mice pinkies or fuzzies. You can usually get them frozen at Petsmart.
@@TFerrazzo72 i appreciate it. I found a couple videos feeding them pinky mice. But i cant tell how big they are cause there is no scale lol
Babies! 🩷
So many new generations of new reptile species.Racers, kings, garters, boxies, fence lizards, ringnecks, red bellies and a couple of older animals. That king looked freshlyshed and very vibrant. And the adult eastern had a beautiful shell. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos. Catch you on the flip-side. Richard from Arkansas
@Richard_and_Heather thank you so much for the support
Monster water snake great herps
Quality stuff Tony! Love the variety in this video. My favorite is the kingsnake.
@@adrianbara-popa9960 thanks, man!
Awesome Video!
Nice vid bro!
I did not know racers ate other snakes LOL
@@heatherbrunner2165 often! They are just as much snake eaters as Kingsnakes!
@@TFerrazzo72 that intrigues me LOL I have honestly never heard that
Great herps
Man, you saved that Green Snake from a horrible death. What a cool encounter.
@@Rustyssnakeadventures lol it was nuts. I'm hoping the Racer moved on to demolish some other creature 🤣
Those were some good finds for mid (hot) summer. Been there on the regurgitation thing. Always sucks, sometimes you don't know they had a meal kind of thing.
@smetlogik yeah. At least this was a half regurgitation. He only swallowed like a 3rd of the Rough Green, and it was still alive lol.
LOL Racer was looking at the rough green saying you lucky sob!!! He had to get him on the ground unless he was climbing for his food.
Yeah they were both on the ground. As soon as we set the Racer down, he bolted!
That little Snapping Turtle looked like it was stretching to check you out. That Racer with the Green snake was awesome even though you interrupted the meal.
Yeah. Definitely not the ideal situation. Racers are excellent hunters though. So I'm hopeful that it found something else.
Neat finds!
Definitely a great selection! I LOVED the Rough Green. Posing so pretty for you. I needed my snake fix after not seeing any at all at Prime Hook refuge in the past two months. Even the spots I saw some early in the season were empty of snakes! I did have the one Rat Snake climbing the tree in my front yard last week, so that was something. Love this video and your excitement in the beginning especially! Thanks for putting this together.
Finally able to take time to catch up on videos! I picked this one first since it looked like the two of you had quite the adventure. Sure glad you included us in your journey! Such beautiful scenery. I'm thrilled you were able to see some lifers along the way! Great video, Tony!
I’m in Mojave. Seeing juvenile green diamondbacks, whip tails with orange and blue colors, and horned toad lizards. Also tarantulas. That collared lizard was a cool spot. Just learning about these awesome creatures as I find them. Thanks
Bummer about the concolor. I spent 2 weeks road tripping through Utah last summer and I didn’t see any live ones :/
Can't go wrong with all the scenery. The herps were a bonus, but that country you traveled through is some of my favorites.
@@smetlogik it was definitely an experience! Especially Utah. Just 100s of miles of wilderness.
How did you find these snakes I really want to find a king snake but have not been able to
Those hogs are so gorgeous
Excellent diversity for summer herping
Thanks!
That Scott guy sounds like the coolest person ever. I bet he keeps crocodile skinks.
OMG! Ya'll had a spectacular couple of days. Those milks and hogs were some stunners. Such beautiful species. So were the rough greens. Plus the rest. Very impressive. I wish I could have been there. Thanks for the video, it was great. Catch you on the flip-side (of the tin pile) Richard from Arkansas
Thank you. Always appreciate you guy's comments!
You had some incredible days out there!
Definitely one for the books!
Finding all those gorgeous snakes was wonderful. I know a Hognose snake has to be very scared to "play dead"
I find that their temperaments vary. Some will play dead, and others will just hiss the whole time. It's hard to tell how they are going to act.
sweet day
I think you have the lucky horseshoe this year! You're killing it Tony.
I'm jealous of your daily Copperheads!
@@TFerrazzo72 It’s funny, everyone always wants what the other guy is finding. I have 3 locations where I can see Copperheads almost every time. I’d love to find Hogs and Milks
@@Rustyssnakeadventures I think September is going to be our month!
sweet boxies!
Super awesome video. Thanks for getting out and getting this great footage. I hope you're having a great day. Catch you on the flip-side. Richard and Heather from Arkansas
Thank you :)
That’s a small terrarium?
Im from Aruba. Very nice videos and pictures. your information is 100% correct. Thanks for sharing. Next time you should look for the cascabel rattle snake that is also endemic to the Island. Very rare to see.
Thank you :) I wish I had more time. Definitely wanted to find the Rattlesnake!
2:14 What a moment!
That is an absolutely stunning Hognose! Where you hunting at in Delmarva? We find a lot of Hognose out on Assateague Island.
NICE! That hognose was a looker. Lots of racers I see. I've never actually watched a worm snake feeding on a worm so that was awesome. Thanks for the content. I appreciate it. Catch you on the flip-side. Richard and Heather from Arkansas
It looks like that worm snake was eating that worm with rocks and all! lol
Neat finds especially that E. Hog!
Thanks!
Where is this? VA beach?
Those NC Pygmy Rattlers are awesome--congrats!! Only ever seen them DOR before moving to MO. "Whenever I see the target, I see everything but that." YES INDEED. THE CURSE IS REAL
