Very nice build! One thing I can’t get my head around is why choose to have the kitchen outside when it’s not necessary? Why go out in the wind, rain, dark, bugs, etc to make a cup of coffee? I just need to understand why this option appeals to people. You could have the kitchen inside and still cook outside on a table if you wanted. No?
How many more temperate environment and I'm not really going camping in the weather how to build a kitchen similar to this and I really do not like the smell of cooking in such a small space it works for me I also have an awning on the back and my door is also out of the back
For the same reason you dont cook in your bedroom. In the past 5 yrs we have never gotten rained on while camping. We primarily camp from Oct to May while its still cool down south. Thanks for the question.. God bless..
some great little tips there - the shower curtain on the rod was a great one !
Thanks... keeping it simple
...nice seeing a bible in your trailer. As believers we keep one in ours as well. The audio in the video is a bit low.
Sorry about low volume. Im not any good at this. Im old school. My kids encouraged me to do this. I Give God credit for the true blessing of being able to camp out often..His creation is much to see and give thanks for...God bless
What I would like to know is what is Towing your trailer.
Thanks for asking. Its a 2014 Tundra Crew Cab 5.7 liter
I don’t see how you can spend “99 percent “ of your time outdoors. I mean, sleeping is about 30 percent just for that.
Ok you got me there... 70/30 lol...I'm just saying we love the outdoors way more than indoors. Thx for your comment👍
Nice looking rig. I like how you kept it simple, but very functional. The 10x10 tent really expands your living area,
Thanks Mike. Its been great to just grab some food, throw it the cooler then hookup and go. We are loving the simplicity of a fully equipped rig. Its all there....its made for an "all inclusive camping experience" God bless ya, happy camping!
Excellent work and layout…might be building mine just like it. 5 *****!
It has everything needed for a camping experience. We have never been on an outing and not have what we need.. Its all compact and complete..
Nice Job.... I am in the process of converting an 8x16 v-nose cargo trailer into an RV and Mobile Sign Shop. I am just starting the walls and cabinets construction. I just sold a 15-passenger shuttle bus that I lived in for 3 years and traveled out west during the winters. I had to sell the shuttle bus because I purchased a large format color printer to make contour cut decals/stickers, koozies, t-shirts, magnetics, banners, mousepads, etc. The large format color printer would have taken up a lot of storage space so I needed to get something bigger. I did a complete conversion series on the shuttle bus from the ground up and now am doing a new series on the cargo trailer conversion. They are on my YT channel.
The 6x12s seem to be better balanced without need of jacks...
I have drop down jacks but rarely use them. Wheel chocks are all you need...✝️
Very nicely done.
Thank you! It meets all our basis needs 100%. God bless ya..
Thanks for the reply on the bunk beds. will start out with "modular" concept, cots, alum tables. KISS concept.
Ask as Many question needed np.2x6 rail is attached to 2x4 frame. 2x2's were used for cross slats with 1/4" luan plywood on top. W/ 4" foam mattress. God bless, Happy camping...
This is our 2nd one. We went smaller and are thinking hammocks! The first one had everything was cumbersome and heavy....but we lived in it for 5 months while we shopped for our home.
A model build!
Bunk beds look great. How did you frame the top bunk? You moved to 12 foot from 10, helps us decide to for the room. Regards!
Four legs with a square frame for both top and bottom. Its no different than a regular bunk bed. Except on e i built the frame then it was screwed to the walls so it would not be able to mive around. Makes it very sturdy. The inside is ten feet long x 6 ft high and wide. The
The galley is 2 ft deep in the rear which is all I needed for all the appliances and ice chest.
2 by 4's on the walls, 2 by 6 side rails, secured with L brackets, any cross members in the middle of the mattress? sorry for the back and forth.
You have a nice build but I wish I could hear the audio. I know the rest of the world has acute hearing but I don’t and I am using an amplifier with my IPhone
I will check on it asap
No problems on this end. No one else I have contacted is having any audio problems as well on my end.
Fantastic build
Thank you. Just keeping it simple..👍
Great video and great plan! We are cargo campers as well (same size) and also follow the KISS method: no running water or fancy extras or solar because we too gravitate toward our state parks. But now I want your kitchen set up 😉
Ms Thompson, my camper has everything you need for a fun camping experience. We just load up our food in the cooler and thats it. Nothing ever to load up or unload. I hope to do a video showing more of the simple ideas we incorporated. We love living the simple life..Seezelife...
Nice camper conversion. Did you do the insulation or order it with the trailer? I have seen some companies that have that option. I’ve wondered if the insulation the manufacturers do is adequate, lol.
I did it myself. It was very simple. I removed panels since all were screwed on. Then used 1 inch foam board for the insulation. Then placed the side panels back in same position. You can do it- its easy..👍
👍
Keeping it simple but very functional. Awesome job man.
Thank you. It certainly made 100% of our needs. There's really nothing more we can do that is necessary for us to have an enjoyable camping experience. God bless
I'm amazed at how much you fit into that space. Great job!
Thank you sir for your acknowledgment, God bless
That thing have a lot of space for its size.
That was the whole idea in keeping it simple. People in the thank you for your comment, God bless
That diamond plate really sets it off nice
Thanks , it was worth the extra money for a nicer look. I also went for the fancier rims. God bless...
Well done on the video and concise presentation of it all. All of the small mod placements such as battery lighting in key areas and shower curtain sun shades really make a huge difference to the experience. Very cool and fun way to spend time camping and traveling. SEEZELIFE!
Love your trailer. Do you mind telling where you got your awning from? Thanks and happy camping!
The awning was purchased thru Walmart. Just type in retractable awning and it should appear. I paid around $125.00 Its 8'x10' Hope this helps.. God bless...
@@OasisOfPlaces thank you!
Real nice trailer you have.
Thank you for your kind words.. God bless..
Awesome job on following the kiss principle. I like your bunk beds and the night stands. I am leaning towards a cargo trailer conversion. And definitely want simple. I plan on getting the basics and setting off. Adding as I go. Awesome video. Keep em coming
Thanks .. I hope yours turns out well. I've watched enough videos and built in only the best of the basics and kept it simple. God bless you for the interest!
Cute but water is the last thing you'll want to use in those bathroom buckets. Water magnifies the smell of all waste coming from a human being.
My wife uses it in the middle of the night then in the a.m we dump. We dont use it for solid waste matter.. Also we put a little pine sol in the fresh water
Ita only uses if needed to get up in the middle of night, then emptied in morning.
Nice build.
how did you engineer to roof?
1/2" treated plywood caulked at seams with 40 yr latex caulk two prime coats 3 coats of left over latex semigloss then final coat with white Flex Steel
@@OasisOfPlaces how is the flex seal holding up after being exposed for about a year?
@@timtim-ef7xu Its holding up extremely well! 🪅
Good lit build
Thanks, it was fun to build- its my comfortable tent... lol
It looks nice did u do the work?.
Yes sir. Very easy to build. Lightweight also.
Oh ok maybe it’s because it in side the trailer ?
The tv is tooo big
Its only 32"
Nice job...love the smell of wood.
Thank you sir. Natures fragrances are a gift from heaven..
How about 5 gallon bucket a 13 gallon trash bag and kitty litter and a nice real wooden toilet seat. You poop tie the bag up throw it out. That way you aren't messing with smell or nasty water. I did a conversion camper if you want to check it out ,just tap the green circle. I did put a little money into it,but also a lot of work to achieve my vision. It's fun to create something. Happy camping..
Started that way but became too messy. Its easier to pour out liquids into dump station or park toilets. We do not use potty for solids. We walk to the bathroom facilities in park. 👍
Where do you get those 75 quart tents lol ?! Just kidding, sweet setup...everything you need and some! Happy travels.
Sorry, for the boo boo. It was my first unrehearsed attempt at making a video. Just wanted to share what can be done with the resources God has given.
Love it!!! very simple and look so cozy inside...Happy Camping & Happy Living!!
