Just imagine if Mathurin, Tyrese, Pascal, and Turner can all get 30 plus points consistently. Also Turner gets at least 15 plus rebounds, Tyrese 15 plus assists, Mathurin 5 steals, and Pascal at least 6 blocks

Few things. First, 121 points allowed is terrible. Pacers are 25th in PPG allowed at 118.8. Second I like the idea of starting Mathurin and Nesmith until Walker is ready to take that starting 3 role. Lastly, with Mathurin and Walker playing well, I think you have to start thinking of trade scenarios for Nembhard and Obi, maybe even Turner depending on what you can get in return. I really want to keep Nesmith tho, he is just a perfect rotational guy who can do it all

Ben Shephard was getting torched by Brunson. Jarace Walker slowed Brunson down so I’m not sure if Shephard deserves a starting spot. There’s no way the Pacers should be pulling Mathurin from the starting lineup.

I agree with your takes about 99% of the time. This is one that I will disagree with you on. The Pacers clearly didn’t play this game to win. This was clearly a throw away game. You can tell by how many two way players were playing in the first half. This was clearly a let’s see what we got type of game. Once I saw that in the first half I knew not to take this game too seriously. Tyrese is concerning at this point, you are right about that. Something is off and only time will tell us more. But yea don’t take too much stock into this game. They were not playing to win. They were playing to see what they have with that bench unit and who could potentially be helpful. Definitely feeling great about Walker! Benn Mathurin is taking that leap this year! We’re all just unfortunately waiting for Halliburton to join the team lol smh

Im not a hugw fan of Rick Carlisle, first of all. And if i could wake up tomorrow and be the guybrunning the show, id sign a backup center who can at the very least get some damn rebounds. Second, id trade guys like Mconnell (probably at his highest value in his carrer currently) and Toppin to see id i cant get a defensive minded wing player, or maybe even a better baclup center instead of signing a FA. Id even send a 1st round pick if we got a good enough player for it. Third, id move Nehmbard to the bench and let him run the second unit. Its clear he does well when given an opportunity to be a focal point, guiding plays and setting the offense. He did incredible in that kindve role before, and im not sure SG is hos prefered position when it comes to potential. Nesmith and Mathurin could be a better connectuon because they can work together a bit better to stop bigger, lengthier opponents. Nesmith can guard 2-4 and mathurin can guard 1-3. Meaning either Siakam or turner can pick up the slack and let Hali be his dogass self on defense ( love the dude but his defense is kinda hot garbage, no excuse) This team needs a shake up and a wake up call. Clearly the good times dont always last, and Hali is struggling eith accepting he was a bench rider for the Olympics & being mostly figured out by HIGH-LEVEL defenders. Hes only 24 so i expect him to come around and improve. Im not one of those doom and gloom, instant reaction fans who want the world to burn when we lose 1 or 2 bad-looking games. This team can improve, but really the one who needs the most improvement is the Head Coach.
