Great points, but for commuters into NYC it is a bit of a ride for everyday transit. But with remote work these days you never know. What are your favorite cities out there?

@@Jeff-Suburbs-of-NYC I agree but believe it or not there are so many residents I’ve spoken with that actually do the trip daily either bus or car for 2hrs max daily trip because of the home prices affordable food taxes and quality of life There’s several places to recommend for starters the commuters are majority in border cities that are booming Easton, New Hope, Levittown, Doylestown, the Lehigh Valley of Allentown and Bethlehem, Stroudsburg has many commuters and starting to boom, the rest are areas closer to Philly and under 90 minutes to the Atlantic City or Jersey beaches Ambler Glen Mills as well as Exton with access to several shopping malls like King Of Prussia as well as several state parks 👍🏽

Hey, thanks for watching and commenting. I tend to agree with you, I call them the CVS lights because it is like being in a retail space. Nice to have switched outlets and floor and table lamps in my opinion. Or at least make sure all the lights have adjustable or warmer colors! Are you located in NYC?

@@Jeff-Suburbs-of-NYC Hi Jeff. Yes, I'm in NYC. I'm an artist and I'm obsessed with residential architecture. Love the "CVS" association. You're sooo right. The most beautiful ceilings are open expanses of uninterrupted white and, depending on the room and home, with hanging light fixtures on a dimmer switch. All other lighting must be controlled with natural light from windows supplemented by brilliantly designed table and floor lamps. It's not rocket science but people are too lazy to learn.

@@davidhunternyc1 You are preaching to the choir here! I especially like your comment about the dimmer switch! I lived in Brooklyn years ago, do you mind me asking you what your favorite neighborhood in the city is?

It depends. My favorite neighborhood is Greenpoint Brooklyn. It’s stunning. Low pre-war buildings, wide open skies, the best swimming pool in NYC, quiet, walkable, safe, with the best restaurants I’ve ever been too. It’s gentrifying quickly, like Williamsburg already has,but to me Greenpoint is the spirit of NYC. My friend got a studio apartment on Riverside Drive and 82nd St on the Westside of Manhattan. It blows my mind how quiet and bucolic this street is. Across from the park, near the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Lincoln Center. NYC is at his fingertips. @@Jeff-Suburbs-of-NYC Thanks ever so much, the last time I saw her was about 1985 and the last time I spoke to her was on the telephone christmas 1988. Her and my grandparents lived at a place called South Moor, Stanley, County Durham, England.

Hi @einarquay - The correct date is 1941. The initial commission was 1940, but the final design approval in its final configuration was 1941. The house was not built, however, until 1951 and had still undergone a few slight changes at that point. But in the FLLW official docs, the house is indeed dated 1941. In addition, the original final blueprints I own that have been passed down with the house are officially stamped and signed 1941 by Wright himself. Hope that helps!...
