Worked great on a 2018 Chrysler 300! Thanks Sooo Much for posting this!!! This seems to be the only TH-cam video with this fix. May blessings be upon you for posting this! I did have another little issue unrelated to reprograming that I felt was worth sharing. I had replaced the key fob battery, but the two little contact tabs for the buttons got misaligned when I snapped it back together. So I did this fix and initially the fob worked for any function that did not require a fob button push. It allowed me into the car with the door handle/push button, and the car would start and run fine. But again none of the fob buttons worked. So I took it back apart made sure everything was aligned and snapped it back together and wow, now everything works!

Ok!! My Kia Stinger key fob could unlock and lock doors but only start with key fob touching the Start button. Battery is new. I've watched 20-30 you tube videos on resetting, nothing worked. But this somehow did!!!!! I don't get it. I thought this guy was blowing smoke-- as simple as he said it, my car started without touching the fob to the start button. Thank You!!!

So you don’t need to go to the dealer and spend over $275. Or buy an oem key fob programming. Trying this tomorrow on my Chrysler 300 2014. I’ll let you know since I bought a new key fob,

A good tip is to lay the key fob down inside of the cupholder and start the car. Hopes this helps!

It cranks but doesn’t work. It only allows me to crank the car only if the key fob touches the push button. Other then that it will say key fob not detected

Can this work for a replacement fob? Took original key out of broken fob. Or is it the fob that needs programming? I was told the actual key has a chip in it.

This affectively worked for me temporarily. It turned over the motor. I could go. However if I turn off the motor it makes me follow your steps again as it continues to not find the key. It also has a new battery. So I am at a loss on a permanent fix.

No idea how or why this worked but it worked for my new to me 2015 Chrysler 200S. The fob buttons didn’t work at all. The door sensor recognized the fob and unlocked the doors. The ignition also worked. Did this procedure and now all the buttons work. Thank you.
