It’s not so bad and there are a ton a remedies people use here to keep your areas clear. You’ll get to a point where you don’t even notice. In fact, I wasn’t reminded until I saw this post. It’s a great area with a lot of outdoors things to do. Let me know when you visit. I’d love to help out 🤩

Both areas are awesome, I dont think you can lose. However, I would visit each for a weekend and then decide. Feel free to reach whenever you visit. the relocation guide will give you some real insight while you're in Grand Rapids. Which do you find more appealing and what most important to you?

Hi @BigCity3939 Living in Holland has its own unique charm, it’s a smaller, close-knit community with beautiful scenery and that classic Dutch-inspired vibe. Grand Rapids, on the other hand, has more of a city feel with lots of cultural spots, restaurants, and events. If you enjoy a bigger city atmosphere with more amenities, Grand Rapids might be the better fit. Hey, @PeglegNav! That’s a great question. Moving to Grand Rapids with a wheelchair can be a bit daunting, especially with all that snow and ice. I totally get feeling intimidated! But a lot of folks in wheelchairs manage to deal with winter just fine. Connecting with local groups for people with disabilities can really help, too. Plus, having some good winter gear and maybe winter tires can make a big difference. Anyone else in the community have tips or experiences to share?

@livegreatgr I always liked Grand Haven for the town and the beach/lighthouse pier and Hoffmaster State Park, north of Grand Haven, for the woods, dunes, and the ability to walk long distances along the beach. But there are so many beaches or beach towns and inland lakes near GR to choose from.
