The pedant in me has to ask should the label on your infinity bottle read "Blended Malt Scotch Whisky" as the infinity whisky contains malts from more than one distillery?

Keith I note that you didn't drink any water between tasting to cleanse the palette, so I have to commend you for your tasting notes. I am happy to say that I managed to identify them correctly straight away from their colour, and that's against the black background of your shirt.

A quick comment your caption states that Glengyle Distillery also makes Kilkerran, incorrect the Glengyle distillery currently only makes Kilkerran as the Glengyle brand is not owned by the owners of the Glengyle Distillery.

Another informative video, I need a taste of Islay so off for a dram of Laphroaig Four Oak.

Big Dave sounds like a character! Not sure how he would have reacted to Laphroaig coming up with the smokey cokey cocktail (Laphroaig and coke) or indeed the Floaty smokey cokey cocktail (Laphroaig, cola and ice cream)! Loved the video. 😀

Keith you have now piqued my interest in booking the Speyside tour. Will have to build up my whisky purchasing funds looking at the range of distilleries visited.

The Laphroaig 10 was the first Islay whisky I tried and I have not looked back. Was great to have you guiding us round Islay distilleries this last week. 🥃🙂

Ok. I am giving Glen Garioch 17 Renaissance a hard look. Problem is almost no one has reviewed it. Have you had it? The other I’m looking at is the Glen scotia 18. I wish MoM still delivered to the US. What a real shame.

I just bought this 50cl bottle from 'The whisky shop' in Brighton this afternoon . Trying a dram whilst watching your video and I concur , it's a beautiful whisky and i agree with your tasting notes . One I'd definitely savour over time .

Enjoyed review Keith. I’ve just discovered this distillery and I first tried their cask strength 10 yr PX, Madeira, Oloroso first fill casks. Fantastic whisky. Recommend it without doubt. This one, I agree with your assessment, but one thing that threw me was the metallic taste ….that kind of made my palate go into a wee bit of a shock, and left the metallic taste in my nose for a while. I’m going to work on it, because I love this distillery, and the sherry casks I’ve mentioned, are wonderful. Slainte mhath 🥃👍

The old 17yo was my go to back in its day. I have a few 18yo bottles spanning almost 10 years. Consistent from batch to batch. Glengoyne was my 1st distillery visit. Came across accidentally when working in Lennoxtown. Still have the range on my shelf along with some indies. Great stuff.

Ach. I was there in 2015 and tried to find the tree. No luck, directions were pretty scarce back then. Ended up finding some creepy cairn marker thing that spooked me so I turned back. 😆

Enjoyable indeed. Thank you gents-you’re both Renaissance men. If you want some real entertainment try reading the captioning that the TH-cam bot does. Thankfully I’m well-versed in Fraser English and don’t need the captions.

What is the best season to visit Islay?

Liked the review.. ..sounds similar to "Peats Sake"....another budget bottle, but can't smell smoke.....But, the drops of water at 11:00 ....does it bring out more flavor than just addin water drops from a glass or ya urn there....thanks in advance.

I find it the smokey peaty whiskey ya drink when ya dont wanna drink to much...reminds me of hospital with smell of coaltar originals soap

Great stuff Keith. Watched it after getting back home to Brighton after enjoying your tour on Monday. All 6 of us from Brighton enjoyed the tour immensely and the trip to Dewars may make some of us take a bit more interest in whisky! Sounds like a good smokey, peaty whisky that tastes nothin like typical whisky eg JW or Chivas.....thats the attraction...maybe buy it ....thanks for reviewing......i'll let ya get back to ya hard sweatin,tendon tearing tasks😁...... from Brisbane
