Saved is a multi-layered, retro-mechanical music show built around rescued 70s home organs. Turned inside out, their internal spinning speakers are exposed for us to see as well as hear. Along with cassettes, a turntable, AM radios and a modified whisk, Saved celebrates an analogue era where A-B-C Fun Block and One Finger Chord buttons captivated our imagination. Leak, of Spaghetti Western Orchestra fame, gently transports us to a curious sound-world where the mundane becomes surprisingly beautiful. A look around the Music Supermarket one week after it opened in the small town of Girgarre, Victoria, Australia. The re-awakened supermarket acted as project HQ, instrument-making workshop, rehearsal space and social hub.

The Incredible Hulls

Scored for yachts, motor boats, dinghies, canoes and kayaks, the boats are the instruments and the owners are the players. The piece is conducted from the shore using semaphore, with parts for drummers and a band. Commissioned in 2005 by Ten Days on the Island Festival, remounted in 2013 at Stretch Arts Festival in Mandurah, Western Australia.

'Don't Fence me In' performed on the Winton Musical Fence by the fence's creator Graeme Leak. All parts for the 1934 Cole Porter classic were recorded at the fence, and we also see shots of tourists playing the fence.
