Can you please post a build sheet..I'm doing this on Feb 9th because im going to be homeless as of the end of Feb but I'll be sleeping in my Jeep..

Before you build one of these for yourself (or before acquiring a commercially available hammock designed for your Jeep to sleep inside) please consider how you'll get on/off and in/out if you prefer to keep the hard top overhead and the tailgate and rear window closed. Not so much of a problem if the top is off and the tailgate/rear window are kept open.

How do you deal with condensation?

Did you have to ground your antenna or no?

I am so grateful for your video. I purchased this same bumper second hand and was at a loss on how to do it. After watching your video, I took a morning and installed it. I would still be doing it if it were not for your help. Your detail is wonderful and to the point. Mine did not come out as good as yours, but it does look pretty good. Thank you so much for taking the time to help others install this bumper.

I've been scowering TH-cam looking for this type of build..I have a 2019 JL Sport S and I've been traveling in it with my dog and I might add sleeping quite uncomfortably..But now I'm going to build this with my brother in Dec..I am 6'2 so sleeping vertically will actually work just fine.. I just ordered a hardtop and roof rack so I can store my gear..And now with this, I can save money by not buying a tent and can sleep in here comfortably.. Totally stealing this build..Thanks..!!!!

It's too small for most people. Not sure how you sleep "vertical". Very nice build. I'm building something similar for my jku.

nice video but I wouldn't recommend running the coax along side power lines. Maybe run it tucked under the console n beside the seat to the back seat area.

Does anyone make a bumper similar to the Body Armor that doesn't require you to cut the OEM bumper?

Kind of late but there is a grommet (plug) under the carpet on the floor board in the back seat. That is where I ran my cable through.

I really like the wood on the tailgate..been meaning to do the same thing. Those plastic ones they make that are hella expensive are slippery asf when they are damp or wet…WOOD is a much better option!

So what about the front license plate? Is there a place for the license plate holder on this new bumper,

Not to be a criticism, but rather a clarification; please correct me if I'm wrong. I think you meant to say "I sleep [diagonally]" (not "vertically" -- otherwise you'd be sleeping standing up). And, while you're positioned diagonally, you're horizontal. Hey, I flunked algebra, so I'm not perfect. Sweet build, none-the-less.

Not sure if you’ll see this since the vid has been out a while, but would love to know if the main 1/2” board is one solid piece or 2 with the carpet stretching across for a single appearance? If the main deck board is 1, how did you get it in and still sit under the lip on the sides? Please and thank you.

I’m sure you have to sleep diagonally in that 5’ bed. I chose the long bed (6’) when I was looking for my 23 TRD Off Road, double cab with the premium and technology pkgs.

Super helpful man, thanks for sharing! I’ll be copying this on my taco now. I think I might add a piece of angle iron between my bed stiffeners to support the front lip of the plywood. Just a bolt on each side so still super easy to take out when I want the full bed.

I did this exact set up in my 2021 Tacoma I used your measurments. Thanks for the help. I have a 6 foot bed though it works great.

Awesome video. I ripped my stock bumper off the other day on the trail. Im getting ready to build one and trying to decide on thickness. Are you happy with the 14ga? Or would you go thicker if you were to do it again?
