Haha. I live upstairs and as soon as my downstairs neighbor complained, I went out of my way to make his life a living hell. I dont walk, I stomp. I play my sound bar at max volume at max bass. If he approached me like a man, I might have shown the same respect. But your first move is to go cry to the cops or the management? Wtf for? Hoping ill get fines applied to my account? Thats where all out war breaks out.

I had this issue where I last lived 2 months ago and I lived there for 8 years. They'd wear heels all over the house, including the nights she'd come home at 11pm and did ALL HER CHORES around the house in heels. No animosity between us either... then they'd rent rooms to total losers that would bump music in their constantly impounded vehicles, and they'd constantly block our shared driveway and inhale "nos" from helium tanks which made a loud noise (like when inflating a balloon with a tank). They didn't work so they'd be up at all hours of the night laughing and going up and down their entryway stairs. LITERALLY ALL NIGHT LONG. Roll a computer chair all over the room and drop what sounded like a huge marble on their wooden floors. People like this are total pieces of shit. I now live in a rented HOUSE and don't have to hear SHIT anymore. It's marvelous, and I'm eternally grateful for it.

2022 -2023 having same issue there’s a couple with a kid right above me they have been neighbors from hell since day one ! Calling courtesy patrol office has made it worse! It’s been torture living hell ! Y’all my first apt I never want this again loud weekend music stomping running at night they walk like cows with all force it’s horrible! So much to this I’m tired of sharing calling no one cares or has done anything about this sad ! I felt I wasn’t welcomed since day one it’s true no one likes me because I’m a rat I called courtesy patrol office it’s just made the retaliation worse he stalks me in the apt so much ! They are here 24/7 don’t work have a life how do they pay rent ? I’m paying $2,100 month I’m living paycheck to paycheck I work ! Sad how people are cruel mean evil have no empathy or care ! 😞😠🥺😳

People who have kids have no business living in anywhere but the ground floor. That lady was a piece of garbage. I hope she got a legal warning. This is the exact reason I hate apartment life and close quarter living. Neighbors can be such lowlifes and overstep their boundaries, and that is good she confronted her, so she knows when enough is enough and she learns how to monitor her kids more closely unless she enjoys being evicted.

This is all I hear the whole day until 11 pm. It’s so depressing living with extreme stomping and hearing dishes shake all day and night. I know if I confront them about it they will just scream and act childish

Ive done other things too but those are just the ones that really worked. Silicone ear plugs like the Macks brand are the best for blocking stomping and ceiling squeaking sounds good enough to sleep through it. I buy a Giant store brand kind which work way better than macks used to work before they made them smaller

Would say 20 years but the woman who first lived above us was a light footed older lady who worked 24/7. She was the best and last. I've tried everything. The best things that worked and work now are soundproof boards i got on amazon taped to the ceiling with mounting tape. That muffles the noise to where you can zone it out but ofcourse doesnt totally get rid of it. But anythings better than nothing. Ive used 20 inch high velocity pedestal fans aimed at the ceiling that drowns the sound out just like a white noise sound machine does while giving the noise right back to them. Everything i've done has worked and trained my neighbors. They watch themselves now or else they know theyll get it back. Only thing I have to use whenever they forget is something called Snooz Machine i got on amazon. Its a small white noise machine with a built in fan inside of it that puts out really loud fan sound that drowns it out. You can adjust the sound and tone. I put it at the top of my bookcase right under their floor turn it all the way up and put sound boards around it so all I hear is a nice relaxing sound that puts me to sleep. It must be loud as hell to them because they stop in their tracks every single time I turn it on and they shut up walk lighter and normal for weeks to months. Some of you all should try it

My brother and I are going through the same thing with kids stomping above us. It's been going on for 2 years. I have nothing but distain for them. I hate them. I feel like I'm losing my mind.

I actually was dealing with Same problems for over one year but in my situation it was the peapol and there kids underneath me I was top floor the kids would yell run and screaming jump off furniture all day long even on school night they stops at 4am And starting back up at 7am every day I called cops many times and even talk to them about it my landlord gave me a nice apartment no noise ever and the problem people got evicted. I know what this feels like been in a situation like this 2 years ago

I would wait till they fall asleep and get a few of them biggest subwoofer you can find mount it to the ceiling and when I tell you wouldn't nobody get any rest I mean nobody children and all even when I leave for the day it will stay on get one of those annoying alarms from Amazon and mount it as well I know this wrong but somebody gonna feel my wrath cause this don't make no sense.people up stairs don't have no respect and I always say people with kids don't need to live above anybody

yes I told my neighbors how loud it is because of the crappy construction .I rec recorded 6 months of every night after 10:00 if the noise is disturbing your peaceful enjoyment of living they could be evicted. Yes they watch other peoples kids running dropping things .Some people are ignorant

I'vd lived underneath someone once in my life, when I was 21, and decided to never again. I don't get why anyone would. In my apartment days, went I went to search for a new place, if the landlord told me there are no units available on the top floor., this was *exactly identical* to them saying: "We Have Noting in the Entire Building Available". I just keep calling other buildings.
