Why no meat? As a vegan, you can still eat meat. Veganism is empathy for animals and a path to zero cruelty. I found that I need meat for health after I stopped eating meat for 2 years, 6+ years now of 95% meat and all of my health problems are gone :) Eat Meat, Not Too Little, Mostly Fat

Hi lena, I just watched you’re what I eat in a week video that you posted. I have a question from it. So You don’t eat dinner? you eat breakfast of juices, a lunch of salad and fruit. And a snack at 2 PM every day? That’s all ? Why is that? And how did you get to that point? I have snack portions of fruit /veg during the day , bc it allows me to bit divert lots of energy to digestion , and a regular meal at dinner around 5, which does use up more digestion energy , then bed at 10 empty tummy . But I hear eating your last meal even earlier than 5 helps sleep even more. But I think I’d have to eat more heavy foods to not get hungry later on if I cut off food at 2 . Maybe you have a video on all of this and I just haven’t seen it yet?
That´s right, I don´t eat dinner since over 15 years. It just doesn´t make sense to me to eat right before going to bed. It´s so normalized to eat 3 times a day or often more. In reality the body needs a break sometimes, eating all day every day is not good in my opinion. 2 Meals a day (juice in the morning/fruit, salad + dessert as a second meal) is more than enough for me. I am also not hungry at all at night and not active either...
@ thank you! I hear ya! This Maybe a good video idea - how did you get there? To No dinner? Some tips on how to switch one’s IF routine of skipping breakfast to skipping evening meal instead. Personally I can go all Day without eating and not feel hunger come on until 4 . But if I eat , even a lot , during the day my body still sends hunger signals for food at night/dinner . I’m sure it’s something you just have to push through until your body gets used to the new eating schedule , but dang it seems like it will take much longer to not feel hunger being at home all night , then skipping breakfast & out living life . 🤷🏻♀️
@@Alykat736 Why would you follow a routine which works for me if it doesn´t work for you? I didn´t force this at all, it just came naturally. I am just not hungry at night. If you are hungry, eat!!
@ it’s simply conditioning . And I know as long as we are getting what one needs , it’s healthier to stop eating earlier than later .

Sorry, how can you sustain yourself with so little foods and calories? And no fats? No judgment but just curious...
I don´t really understand the question because first of all it´s all relative. What is a lot of food for one person can be too much for another person. So never compare yourself to others. Second of all I have worked on my gut health for many years, my gut is cleeeeeean 😉 and I have a symbiotic gut flora/microbiome. No parasites, no bad bacteria! If you have such a proper functioning gut you are able to absorb all the nutrients from your food in a much more efficient way. I actually have to watch what I am eating now because I can gain weight very easily from raw food. I also don´t experience this toxic hunger anymore, which most people have to deal with. Also why do you think I do not eat any fats?? 🤔 There are clearly healthy fat sources in my meals (the energy balls on its own are a fat bomb 😂). I just don´t consume refined oils. In fact a fat free diet isn´t even possible unless you only consume refined sugar and protein powder 😂 otherwise you always have plenty of fatty acids in fruits, leafy greens, veggies and obviously in nuts and seeds, avocado, olives etc. I hope this was helpful and cleared it up for you. @ just about calories. Have you ever counted how many calories you actually get in one day of these? A green juice, a salad with very little fats, and a few dates in a day seems to me to be not over 600-800 calories, which is well below what someone would expect for an adult. And what do you mean by clean gut and parasites? With no proper testing you cannot tell if there are some imbalances in the gut biome... I am on a high raw diet since many years now, I don’t consume oils ether but I consume fats everyday, and carbs from fruits, veg, sweet potatoes and pumpkin. I do have vegetables juices in the morning and I eat a salad which is around twice as big as yours everyday. That is just enough to maintain my weight which is slightly underweight. ... true that you should not compare but it is hard not to in this case.
@ girl don’t worry about me! I know what I’m doing. I eat around 2000 and 2300 calories a day which is plenty for me. How do you know I haven’t done proper testing? Because I have!! Also have you realised how much fruit I consume??? I don’t think so! My orange juice in the morning alone has around 500 calories plus all the fruits I eat and my salad dressings have a huge amount of fruit too! So if you would have watched more consciously you would have noticed that 600-800 calories is a joke. I am glad you found a way that works for you and like I said it makes absolutely no sense to compare yourself. I live this lifestyle since over 5 years now, do you think I would continue if it doesn’t work?
@ also if you’re slightly underweight you probably have to work on your gut. If you are not able to absorb the nutrients from your food properly, it’s because a compromised gut. Once you are able to absorb nutrients in a very effective way you don’t need to overeat anymore 👍 most people eat too much, too often and too late. The people who live the longest are not overeating.
@ thank you Lena, yes you’re probably right ... unfortunately my gut got damaged by antibiotics in 2020-2022 and very strong ones ... Long story but I was very ill. I always eat too late too... Thank you for your kind comments and for all the explanations

can you link some scientific papers to support the claim that oats aren't healthy or are you just saying it because you personally don't do well when you eat them? almost every blue zone diet consist of grains in some fashion so I find it hard to believe they are bad for you, not to mention the numerous studies showing they actually have health promoting properties. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8625765/

Three words that all Vegans need to be aware of are - oxalates, phytates, and lectins.
I don´t think we should worry about these things if we focus on fresh fruits.
Most vegans have no issues with those
Especially if you consume nuts or seeds on a regular basis it is very important to soak them overnight. They are quite hard to digest and if they are consumed raw on a regular basis they can cause distress and digestive issues on the long term

@@lenalalune_ It moderation they can be healthy, even if their not soaked. I don't consume nuts because I made a food intolerance test and nuts where very high in that list, so unfortunately I can't have any!

Honestly I feel like raw vegan primarily risks getting too *little* calories, not too much. But then again, I'm naturally skinny.
Both problems exist. Some people struggle to eat enough and others are wondering why they can´t lose weight on a raw vegan diet!

If you swallow 100g of peanuts, how much calories is that? If you wait till the peanuts are excreted in the feces, wash them and then swallow them again, are those magical peanuts? A calorie is a measurement of heat and is not relevant to bio-chemistry.

Was ist mit sojade Joghurt oder vly Joghurt ohne Zucker wenig Zutaten Natur Tofu tempeh? und gekochte Gemüse und Kürbis und viel Obst und Gemüse roh Vegan gesund?
Soja und Erzeugnisse daraus esse ich persönlich nicht. Alles, was verarbeitet ist, sehe ich nicht wirklich als Nahrung an. Kochen kommt schon gar nicht in Frage, weil dadurch sämtliche Nährstoffe zerstört werden und Giftstoffe entstehen. Ich persönlich möchte das nicht in meinem Körper. Rohes Obst & Gemüse sind optimal. Jede Spezies auf der Erde isst unverarbeitete, rohe Nahrung, alles andere macht kein Sinn. Aber jeder darf ja selbst entscheiden, was er in seinen Körper gibt und aus was seine Zellen gebaut werden sollen. ;)

Calories do matter! If you consume more than you need, you will gain weight, that´s common sense. Let me know if you have specific questions on that topic and I can make a video.

No, I think quality is more important than organic. Sometimes organic produce is really low quality. At least here in Germany.

As a clinical Nutritionist, fat is ESSENTIAL. It's called EFA'S ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS. Just as protein is Essential Amino Acids. When food is plentiful animals eat constantly......which is what I'd like to do, because I'm always thinking about food.
You do you but if you are always thinking about food there is probably no life purpose or any kind of passion in your life. We eat to live not the other way around. But food addiction is a common thing in todays world, kind of sad. Life is so much more than just food...
Freelee never promoted stuffing oneself she always said eat as much as you care for, which means satisfying your hunger. She did videos where she ate so much to simply prove the myth of carbs making someone fat. If you eat the right food it gives you the energy to want to move to exercise and adding plain sugar to meals is ok because it boosts calorie intake so you don’t have to eat such a big meal and for me it helps with alertness and stamina throughout the day. Sugar is more of a supplement than anything else.

@@Coach_Jose Actually, nowhere in the Bible are they called deadly sins, and no where in the scriptures are they compiled into one list. The “7 deadly sins” come from a pope named Pope Gregory I, who in 600 A.D., compiled a list of 7 biblical sins and called them deadly.
