Scuba Diving Big Island Hawaii/Kona
Scuba diving the Big Island of Hawaii was a spectacular experience this year. Schools of tropical fish abound, beautiful coral, walls and reefs to explore with manta rays on most of our dives. We booked our diving with Jack’s Diving Locker and they took great care of us. The highlight was definitely the manta ray night dive at Eel Cove.
Dive sites featured in this video are:
Au Au
Golden Arches
Eel Cove
The Dome
Lone Tree
Air Tanks
Wharf Drift
Fade to Grey
Pipe Dreams
Wash Rock
Clip of turtle is from Mala Wharf, Maui
Video filmed with GoPro 10 and Big Blue video lights.

Hundreds of Schooling Yellowtails were an encouraging sight during a series of dives in 2020 at Whytecliff Park (an actual no take Marine Sanctuary !) Such a majestic and amazing creature. Highly intelligent and able to blend into its surroundings. I can't believe how big they get! Also makes you wonder if there are even bigger octopuses further down in the ocean depths.
