Remember Wale's situation with Roc Nation too He did the collabo with Kwesta & Artists take notes n compare diff setups We just feel they was gonna use him as a lab rat at the time. Also Mabala Noise, Ambitiouz ENT, alot labels had offers out too he had options. His team ended up approaching Universal on his own terms and they agreed. Roc Nation Africa went on to do great as well. theirs alot of success stories in South Africa with Siya the captain of the rugby national team, the deal with Mamelodi Sundowns. from that you can see their vision was not to globalise but to internalize their brand in SA culture get a MARKET SHARE of some sort.
