I don't get you Innes Del Mar, you live in a beautiful place and you want to fuck it up with noise and carbon pollution. Insane.
Same logic as to why we have roads and highways in and around cities. Sure they produce noise and pollution right where we live but without them we could not access our cities. Without a snowmobile it simply would not be possible to access this area in the winter time

Where is there snow? I live in Buffalo NY and we don't get snow anymore just a few storms that then melt within a week
Utah! Our snow season in the north part of Utah southern part of Idaho is generally from around end of November to end of May!

I see this model is similar to ken block it is still lifting while going uphill what went wrong with ken block in your estimation?
I’m not exactly sure what happened but grape vine says the sled came over backwards essentially like a motorcycle coming over backwards in a wheelie and landed on top of him, either crushing him as these sleds are heavy 500ish pounds and or trapping him underneath the sled in the snow suffocating or something similar is probably what happened.

never in my live have I heard someone constantly on and off the throttle....hear the turbo chatter...that it being forced to slow down do to less exhaust gases when you are on and off the throttle....will kill your turbo early......
Tell me you know nothing about 2 stroke turbo sleds on a mountain without telling me ....

I think the best thing they did about Gen5 is the belt cooling. It was by far the biggest issue in past generations for those that freestyle.
It’s pretty good!! We beat on this thing and those temps were staying ICE cold!!
Sucks this thing isn’t a little bit cheaper, can’t justify spending that much on something I’m only gonna get out on 5-10 times a year
It is pretty sad! It’s so fun though! It’s definitely worth it!

@@Captndarty yeah, what's the point? get a clutch kit and lower the engagement if that's the issue.
@@jaco177 it’s the way the snowmobile reacts with the snow, if the snowmobile is off camber on the terrain blipping the throttle(spinning the track) and putting weight on one side or the other of the snowmobile it will trench into the snow and flatten out the snowmobile, the same concept applies when sidehilling, when the snowmobile is on a slope the track will be Parallel with the grade of the slope, but to side hill you want the track closer to level and by blipping the throttle it constantly removes the excess snow on the uphill side of the track to keep the snowmobile trenches in and level. Basically, it helps stabilize the vehicle on uneven terrain, although it might not be effective on flat terrain it is a habit built for a reason…. I do ride motorcycles, I do not constantly blip the throttle on the motorcycle!

I ride a 2009 600 etec I just use the clutch for braking.
