The Release on your Noise Gate is a bit slow. You might shorten that up a tad. It's like a full second when a quarter second would be enoughAkane is correct. Some say Aka-Ne, which isn't totally wrong since the root is aka, meaning Red. In English her name would probably be Scarlet. Yes they ha April Fool's Day Joke bands. It started with BAND-MAIKO two years in a row doing 'Secret Maiko Lips' and 'Gion-Cho'. You should probably do the BAND-MAID version 'Secret My Lips' first before those. Then nothing during The COVID Clampdown. After that they did Miku Goes Solo as Cluppo. She has videos for 'PEACE&LOVE' and 'With You'. The last one is my fave. There's also an Anime Closing Theme version for the anime, Arsnotoria.

The animated UNLEASH video tells the story of a Small Pigeon (KOBATO MIKU) who rallied a band of maids which launched a campaign for World Domination. But just as all the pieces were falling in place, including a scheduled high-profile “one-man” concert at Budokan, the pandemic cast a dark shadow across the globe, scuttling BAND-MAID’s plans. But the MAIDS were not deterred. They launched a new campaign, using the Internet to stay in touch with their fans and to win new ones, posting on TH-cam songs from concert films, supporting the work of reaction channels, creating special video content for their fan club, and producing several online concerts. When things returned to normal, the band emerged stronger than ever, performing live again, and embarking on a year-long Tenth Anniversary Tour which brought them to the U.S. twice, including a set at LOLLAPALOOZA, and wrapping up finally in November 2023, at YOKOHAMA ARENA. They were busy in 2024, as well, with concerts throughout, another anime theme (PROTECT YOU) and collaborations with INCUBUS (BESTIE) and THE WARNING, out of Mexico (SHOW THEM).

Most of the time, both their music AND lyrics are very encouraging and uplifting. And of course, ridiculously awesome. Rock on, Kiwi!

Look at the "read more" portion on the official UNLEASHED!!!!! video and you will see everyone involved in the production of the anime. It's quite a long list. Akane was the consultant for Band-Maid, giving the anime team direction for the personalities and quirks of each member, plus adding more than a few Easter eggs. Akane is a big anime fan, maybe bigger than I am.🙂

Great reaction. The Band-Maid label, Pony Canyon, has an in-house animation group that did the animation. This song/video was about the virus and the lock down and the end when everything was unleashed. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.

Nice reaction Kiwi! It’s one of those Band-Maid songs that you’d end up hurting yourself if you tried to dance to it. In my case it would mean calling for a stretcher at minimum. Brilliant.

The first 20 seconds or so of the video are animated versions of prior videos that the Maids selected. Saiki is Blooming, Akane is Domination, Kanami is Alone (of course), MISA is Dice and Miku is Thrill.

Kiwi, if you have not done so yet. There is a great documentary series about the members of Band-Maid. A French TH-camr name Ohrenje has a seven-part biographical series about 30 minutes in length on each Maid (Miku, the group's founder gets three). The series is very informative and really helps you understand how this group was formed and their amazing group dynamic.

I would say anything from The Big Push Rens former Band is always a great listening and very up beat. Oh and any Busking from Ren is worth checking out.

You were asking for suggestions. I suggest Dianne Van Giersbergen. One of the plethora of fantastic female metal singers originating in the Netherlands. She is on her own now. Much better microphone and sound. I noticed immediately. I would suggest full, wired, headphones rather than ear buds to get a more complete sound.

LOVE all the Ren. If you really want to "get out of your feels" try Jinjer Pisces Studio Session. Very different vibe but I think you'll enjoy it AND it will add a whole new genre for you to explore.

I know with Ren he has those amazing, deep. thought provoking songs.. that we all love.. but its nice to see him cut loose and it was great to see you really vibing with this one.. ❤ I do have a recommendation for you.. This was a guy Ren recommended on a live awhile back.. that's the cool thing about Ren.. he is a gift that keeps on giving.. with these other artists he works with.. I saw you checked out Chinchilla.. shebis amazing, too.. but I think you will love Asaf Avidian.. he has a truly unique voice.. he is a master with the looping machine.. becomes a one man band.. he is a self-taught artist like Ren.. please check out.. In a Box - Your Anchor.. this sing and all of the songs in his in a box series.. is a live performance in an old church.. it gives amazing acoustics to his sound.. this song is with a guitar.. he didn't pick up a guitar till his 20s.. this one really shows off his vocals and works with the looping machine.. complete with an unforgettable ending that represents the emotional release from the circumstances of the song. I really think you will enjoy it.. or if you prefer, you could do In a Box III -900 DAYS.. that one is with a piano.. I know you will love them both.. and it will just be scratching the surface.. he is very big in Europe.. but has yet to make a splash here in America.. he is originally from Isreal. He has some loyal fans, too... I hope you check him out.

If you're into Nightwish and Band -Maid, the next band you need to get into is The Warning. I'd start with their song "Evolve" at the 2023 MTV VMAs. You'll love it.
