@@DMac-gh7cy If it was recent. I don’t know anything about that. But, I do remember in the book that he, and Andy wrote. I think there was something about the motor going out in his salmon boat, and he was left stranded. Until he could be rescued.

@@DMac-gh7cy I would go back, and look through the book that I have. But, it’s packed away in a box. My guy Dan’s and my house. Has been undergoing a massive remodel/expansion. To the second bedroom in our house. Everything in the second bedroom. Including the Time Bandit book. Had to be packed away in boxes, and stored in our garage. Or, our living room. We’re currently at the home stretch of the remodel being done.

The remodel has been going on since May 14th. Dan, and I are both pretty happy with the progress so far. We have a great construction company, and crew. That’s highly recommended in the town we live in, and they’ve won numerous awards.

They are a great family. I met Captain Johnathan, and his wife Heather. They’re pretty sweet people too. Captain Johnathan blew me away with giving me a bunch of his kids’ books that he wrote. For my co-teachers at the day care center where I work. I never asked him for anything. I almost wanted to cry happy tears.

I wish I could be friends with Captain Johnathan, and his wife Heather. Because of the way the family had been so kind to me. But, I am only considered just to be a fan to them. Not a friend. Even though they both have the biggest hearts ever.

I saw him already. It was great! He was a little bit more shy than Captain Johnathan, and didn’t give me a hug. But, I understood. So now I can say that I got to meet two out of my seven favorite captains from Deadliest Catch.

It was all Neal’s wife Sugayle’s idea. She had to ask Neal too. But, I cried happy tears. When I found out that he said it was OK. Even Captain Johnathan was happy for me.

Thank you. This is as exciting as it was. When I found out that Captain Johnathan was doing a meet-and-greet on June 4th, 2022. It was on the day after my family, and I got home from our vacation to the island of Fiji. We landed at PDX airport. Then my mom, my godfather, and I stayed the night at one of the airport hotels. So that we could leave from there. To go to Buckley, Washington. It would be a shorter drive. Than driving all the way home. Which is two hours from the airport. Then driving all the way back up to Washington. It was a fun moment getting to meet Captain Johnathan, and his wife. I know in my heart. That it’ll be a fun moment getting to meet Captain Keith too.

They were both so wonderful!

Two years later. On this day of June 4th, 2024. This special memory is still vivid in my mind. I wish I could be friends with these two. But, I got told that I am only just a fan to them. After Captain Johnathan’s brother Neal, and his wife Sugayle. Did one of the best things for me. That I never in my life had asked for. That every fan of Deadliest Catch would dream of. Being invited to go aboard the F/V Time Bandit boat. That moment still is in my heart too.

It was fun. Meeting Captain Johnathan, and his wife nine months later. It felt so special having this moment, and that moment. So close together.

The whole Hillstrand family is. They were all so kind to me.

I didn’t get to meet Nick. Although I have interacted with him on Twitter a few times. Through his tweets. I did get to meet David, and Landon from the Summer Bay. Both of them are cool guys with big hearts. For their fans. Just like Captain Johnathan, and the other captains who love their fans.

@@samanthadan It seemed like a great time. I’m really glad you did a video. The shows never give a tour of the boats and I have been curious about it for years. They really seem like down to earth people.
