Remake idea: Lloyd should be unlocked after finishing the game and can use the dragon buster + wingly armour. He should have a unique way of charging up wingly armour so he can have some sort of cool transformation like a dragoon.

I always had to cast Meltdown on him first. It's the ONE status effect that can actually get him (except maybe blind?) and it greatly increases damage done.

His speed is what is so anxiety-provoking in this fight. He has a move every two seconds and the panicked rush to get attacks in in time is intense.

How rare is it when ultima weapon attacks normally. Its hits like 2.6k and your like wow that was weak lol

Crazy to think that Doel killed his own dragon to use it for science. Bro had the ancient power in his hands and threw it away. If the group didnt kill Greham for him then he wouldve been killed off as soon as Greham finished killing Albert and Lavitz.

Strategy was too conservative. You could have used Quistis’ Shockwave Pulsar a bunch of times, plus Selphie is a great all-rounder. Two players pulverise the enemy: Squall and Quistis. Selphie plays all-rounder and handles the middle work. Meltdown should always be cast at the beginning of the battle. You learn through experience, though. FF8 leans hard on strategy with the junctioning system. Happy to give tips if you like.

I remember (re)playing the The Legend of Dragoon back in like 2012 in front of most of my family and had finally got here. Everyone's jaws had already damn-near literally hit the floor when we got bombarded with the plot twists at the end of Disc 3. When Zieg suddenly dropped down form nowhere and took Dart's Dragoon Spirit and worse, still recognizing him as its master, everyone collectively gasped a "OH NO....!" or "Are you F-ing kidding me?!" during this scene. Everything in the story thus far was already *extremely* dire but then when you think it couldn't possibly get any worse for the heroes, it does. 🥴

I still remember one of my first playthroughs. Got down to Ultima and beat him. Remembered Eden and reloaded. Beat him but forgot about Eden. . .AGAIN. Next! Died. Let's try that again and getting rather annoyed with this guy. Nearly died and Angelo saved my butt with Invincible Moon. Squall got Eden and Zell next with a long limit sequence followed by a Wishing Star. Done! Basically said a dog saved my hide in the end. Thanks Angelo! Guy is still annoying tbough. 😤

The so called “Divine Dragon”, considered to be hardest boss in the game next to Lenus and the Grand Jewel, turns out to be no challenge at all. I just kept on spamming my magic attacks to disable the Dragon Ball part and my team (Dart, Rose and Albert) kept on hacking and slashing at the beast until he was dead. I did made the mistake of having Albert use his Jade Dragoon form to cast a barrier spell, but I was all out of mana and he got his ass kicked a lot.

Viajei no tempo, lembro muito bem , foi uma alegria surreal quando eu matei esse .monstro , detalhe levei quase 1 mes , depois de muito tempo descobrir que por ali por perto tinha um lugar pra salvar o jogo , eu passei dele depois de descer aquela caverna toda , enfrentando só bicho forte , mais conseguir e foi uma felicidade só, já tinha quebrado uns 3 cd do número 3 de 4 , de tanta raiva , mais não desistir não 😂😂

Lenus being trans would make the battle heart breaking because her dying moments are that much better. There'd be a huge emotional payoff for Lenus' character arc. Regole's affiliation with Lenus would be believable because Regole would understand creatures that cause trans. Media deserves trans representation of villains as well and Lenus being trans would change how disc 2 - Tiboria _ is approached. The scene isn't done justice, it's emotionally flat

The journey down to Ultima was worse than fighting Ultima. Draw Eden, cast Meltdown, cast Aura on Squall, Renzo-lionheart, dead.

Easiest boss ever. Level up Dart’s crush dance all the way to 99; Albert’s spinning cane all to 99; Haschel‘s ferry of styx to 99 and you will defeat doel easily without dragoon powers.

Just getting down here was fucking annoying it takes like an hour and the monster encounters were hard as hell. At least for me at that time when i played. Needless to say this fight pissed me off so much because I'd die so fast. Ironically i've beaten omega weapon but never ultima due to the difficulty and annoyance of getting down to this spot. I wonder if i can do this now as an adult if i ever get this game again

I love how ultima is using clouds final weapon from ff7 . When i first saw this as a kid, i was soo shocked to see that.

By the way, did you complete the Treasure Chest side quest?

Shana is your best bet in this fight. Give her the Sparkle Arrow and trigger her Dragoon Special. Weaken the Commander, which won’t take long since the Light elemental dimension will weaken them, and fire off the White Silver Dragon. Thank me later.

The first visit to the Giganto Home is my favorite. You get a complete upgrade for Haschel here in terms of weapon, armor, and headwear, and you won’t be able to obtain them until disc 3 any other way. You can get the Energy Girdle for him from the Berserker, the Soul Headband from Gehrich, and the Diamond Claw from Mappi. For an added bonus, you can get a Bandit’s Ring from the Gangster and Sachets from the Piggies. Just keep resetting on this boss fight until you get them both. (Edit) Wrote this before I saw the end. Congrats on obtaining them.

I Really hate the remastered version so bad

That was a good fight. He has 255 sped stat if he's level 100 which is a pain in the ass. He can use light pillar three times' in a row done it to me once. On to Omega weapon.

I remember when i fought this guy... First time, i ate him... then i remembered i didn't draw Eden. Ok then, load... Second time, i tried to draw... no character in my team had draw! Ok then, load... Third time, i went hyper offensive like in my first try and put one of my characters to draw. They didn't have the time to draw -.- Ok then, load! Fourth time was a charm :3

How did you do your additions without pressing 'circle'? Also I must be playing the game wrong... you have so many items that i dont have

I wished that Lloyd became a playable character and the Divine Dragoon so he can have his own additions and dragoon magic.

How come whenever the final boss fight references the Creation Myth of the Bible, why does Melbu Frahma change forms? I mean he’s a giant tumor in the second part, a giant space ship in the third part and a giant floating horseshoe crab in the fourth part.
