Ed Stafford and Steven Hanton teach through content-learning bushcraft masterclasses how to thrive in nature and the great outdoors. Through the teaching of time honoured techniques in a range of courses, Ed and Steven equip the audience with confidence inspiring knowledge and skills to set out into the wilderness, to discover the joys of 'resetting' in different environments, and to live a more fulfilled and adventure filled life.

Announcing the End of the Live Forest Skills Lessons for now 😥
February half term week is upon us and we hope everyone gets the chance to have fun in the snow! ⛄️
We’re ending the live lessons there but they will forever be available as a back catalogue on TH-cam.
If you have a hunger now for more in-depth instruction on bushcraft or outdoor & survival skills then I’d refer you to our masterclasses. www.bushcraft.academy

Making damper (bread cooked in fire embers)
Cool
2:05 beatiful smoke
We were taught this by Philippine and Thai commandos in mid 70 while on a survival course.. never got the hang of it ,but others were able to get a fire going.
Why, mate? Why so complicated? Next time, turn the whole apparatus upside down. Makes life easier and has more logic. The embers will fall directly onto the tinder. Your construction makes no sense to me, and then you even have to hold it over yer face in the air to blow it on without even seeing what you're doing. Here, worked 9 years ago, would have worked 3 years too: th-cam.com/video/l9tS44x4EHI/w-d-xo.html
Is that Ed Stafford?
What if you replace the bamboo in your hands with two branches tied together with tinder bundle wedged between them.
Auch eine gute Lösung das untere Stück zu fixieren. Ich mache das mit Heringen. Top erste Bambissäge die von mir einen Daumen nach oben bekommt
Which culture discovered that technic?
Southeast Asia
hey ed! love from wilderness
shut up hey ed!
i am diagnosed
schizo
was that really less then 3 minutes?
Fire saw is quite a quick method it seems, any vid I watched they have an ember within 1 minute.
@@countsmyth that's the one I wanna use then if I need to

@onlinebushcraft if I get to compete with you on first man out this year, I’ll show you a super super easy way for this as well. I hope I make the cut from my casting video, would be a dream come true to do that with you 🤜🤛
Haha awesome, I’ve just been approached to apply for FMO for asia with you. I’ve sent in my application video today. Hopefully we can make some great content together in the jungle, would be a dream come true 🤝🏴🏃🏻♂️💨
thanks for the lesson
Hopefully you can resume these live sessions. Much love ❤️😎
Great lesson , sir
So sad they've finished. I've really enjoyed watching them. Thank you for taking your time to make them - we all know how busy you both are so to take unpaid time out to make these vids was great and very much appreciated. Has made me want to watcht the master classes though!
The master classes are brilliant and also extremely cheap for the content that you get, I highly recommend them 👍
I love watching these vids (though never made them live as always at work). Your enthusiasm is endless and contagious! Thank you and Ed for taking time to make them even though you were both busy doing other things.
What happened to your Masonic ring Ed ? Don’t sell your soul to the devil for fame and fortune, we like you just the way you are, real.
Totally agree 👍
Thank you Ed 😊🍊🔥🍳
Made my lockdown more interesting, im to knackered for joe wicks 🤣
Gutted the channel hasn’t blown up, numbers are really low. Such great potential

Thankful I made it for the last live this morning!and thank you so much for all the lessons and videos 👍🏼😄
Hi Ed and Steven. From myself and Theo in Newark we are sad it has to end but we have been tuned into every live session and enjoyed it so much. Theo has now made the beginnings of his own bushcraft and survival manual and it has inspired him to continue to explore new avenues. We would like to say a massive Thank you to you both and look forward to following you both on the TV and through Instagram. Good luck for the future and hope you and your families stay safe.
Awesome Theo!! Keep up the good work 👏
Thanks so much for all these lessons mate and take care!
Was really good wasn't they! 👍
Thanks for another great lesson, really appreciate it!
Good stuff 👍
Nice, I'm trying that, I love taking eggs on a camp, need another egg protector actually I lost my old one, I poke a hole in the top and Bob them on the embers, I really should start filming more, thanks for the vids 😊👍
Hi Ed, can you add Turkish subtitles to your videos? It is very enjoyable and instructive to watch, but we cannot understand what he is saying because we do not speak English😕 Loves from Turkey 🇹🇷
Always miss these 😮 glad I get to watch them later
Wheelie bin liners even better always carry 2
Ed swsin guzel yar...
Hike 'n' Deep made a community post about your Channel so I had to check it out 💪🤠👍 Awesome stuff
Loving 'First Man Out' on Choice TV here in NZ. It's a great concept to compare and contrast how two minds/ bodies/ experience tackle the same challenge.
Brilliant yet again, can't always catch it live but great to watch, essential that the next generation learn these skills, it opens the mind to problem solving and critical thought 👍
Thanks! :)
This is unique
Loved this one... thanks!!!
Loved this as did my 10 year old son. Thank you 😊
