Want to know how construction is going in the Nature Playscape? As of October 2, here how things are coming along. We lost a few trees in Helene, but have lost no time getting back to work on realizing the creative vision of this incredible nature play space for children!

New Trail to Office

New trail! You can now access our new office from the Swamp Rabbit Trail, closest to the parking at Conestee Mill on Spanco Drive (on the pink route of our new map). Thanks to Amanda Foster, our Trails and Maintenance Specialist, for installing this trail, that will take you to our front door. Note our beautiful new signs too! Just a few more changes to help you find your way.

I found one of these in my entrance, very dehydrated. It took a few days of soaking in a small pan of rain water but it's fat and happy. On a diet of worms, isopods, slugs and roaches. This one is only about 4" long though. Great video, I always forget how graceful they are in the water.

Perhaps sometime I’ll be privileged to see this in person. We visit here frequently to enjoy nature. I just posted a video on my channel about liverworts. Practically all of the scaleworts pictured came from here.🌿🌳

Thanks. I enjoyed this after noticing Impatiens biflora (jewel weed) this week and identifying it in my wildflower book. Please, can you post info about the beautiful, 4-foot-tall blooming yellowish-gold wildflower that is blooming everywhere at CNP as of Sept. 15? Up by the Henderson oaks there's a magnificent display. Thanks.
