Our first adventure road trip for the summer of 2022! We traveled to Everglades and then all the way to Key West. There was so much to see and do.

The kids love to go on hikes. We took a new trail through the Fort Ord Nature Preserve here in Seaside, CA. This is the first year of soccer for both of the boys. They each enjoy it, Embry a bit more than Sandler. But overall, they have so much fun each game they play. We hiked about a mile up the Big Sur River to find this beautiful spring fed swimming hole. The water was crystal clear and refreshingly chilly! Henry Cowell Redwood State Park in Felton, CA is home to some of the most ancient redwoods in California, aging around 2000 years old. Some of them reach to nearly 300 feet in height and 17 feet in diameter! That's a BIG tree! Lover's Point in Monterey, CA is one of our favorite tidepool destinations. It is rich in wildlife and full of adventure! This time we visited during high tide. San Carpoforo Creek Beach is such a beautiful place along the Pacific Coast in San Simeon, CA. Where creek meets the ocean, we discovered a variety of freshwater and saltwater creatures from frogs to flounders.
