ToSeven DM01 11-09-2024 - "Warning Motor Blocked"
Installed new T24 display, new wheel sensor, new throttle. Left the shift sensor disconnected. Reused the 4 pin Peripheral jumper cable since the new one that was sent to me was a 3 pin without the throttle.
Johnny Nerd out 52v "Wedge battery (single - no battery blender)
Motor randomly stops working.
Tested in the garage free air with throttle on EM3EV battery and it randomly stops working also.
History:
My original DM01 motor has had 2 controller swaps already. Sent everything back to the seller and they sent me back a new DM01 motor+ controller (I think) with my original t24. Was still failing with the new DM01 so a new T24 display was then sent to me along with new speed sensor, throttle, and shift sensor (results shown in this video).

    • @VietPho
      @VietPho หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@austinmccarty3244 i do feel a difference riding the grizzly with and without the topbox depending on if I have it fully loaded. When fully loaded with 2 batts, and locks I have to be careful doing turns. When not loaded with heavy 35 lb batts, it feels more natural. I kinda like riding it with the top case with the backseat adapters because it let's me lean back on it to rest my back on something. The box itself doesnt rattle. Dont use the extended 2nd seat if you do this. You want the box to be directly over the rear tire or your bike will wobble and crash (I experienced this) The shocks on the grizzly sucks. Going over bumps with or without the box is never a good feeling.

      @ I actually have a Ristretto 512 that should be delivered within the next 2 weeks. Ristretto offers an 18l top box that looks very similar to this Givi one to be mounted on the rear cargo rack. I’m trying to decide whether to purchase that 18L, this Givi 42L, or the Givi 40L that is made out of canvas like material and is liter. It also used this monokey system and mount.

    • @VietPho
      @VietPho หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@austinmccarty3244 looking at the pictures of that restritto 512 with their 18L box, I think it would be less risky for chance of wobble if you go with whatever box they offer instead of upgrading to a larger box. Center gravity and feel of the bike worked out for my current setup but could have wobble issues on different bikes. Here's a video of my grizzly wobble problem when I had it setup where the box was too far towards the rear and not directly over the center of the rear wheel: I crashed with this extended seat setup and took 6 months to heal. instagram.com/p/CgJvDyTrcw-/?igsh=eWF2OXR0MHJrajdu

    Dear customer, this is from to7motor factory, thanks for sharing your riding video with our DM motor, our technical team has studied your video, based on the video, your DM motor has been running at high speed for 8 minutes. It may have reached the critical overheating protection threshold set by our system, which caused the motor to slow down automatically. Additionally, in the video, you switched the pedal assist to "0." In this setting, the motor will not operate. To ensure optimal performance, please avoid adjusting the pedal assist to the lowest level of "1." This will allow the motor to continue functioning effectively. Thanks for your understanding!

One time it got so bouncy going up the fork, I had to make a video and post it on the forums for them to send it higher up to have the roads leveled (which actually got fixed). There are a lot of pot holes too. Me and a buddy of mine use to go up there with a shovel to fix the pot holes. I havent been up there in about 2 yrs but I think a sedan would be able to make it up there. I use to drive my camry there and random spots at Salmonberry road. • @VietPho
      @VietPho ปีที่แล้ว

      I mostly riding in my custom level 1 pedal assist (torque sensor). On level 1, I have it set to about 250watts. So basically I was riding with 250 watt of assist in this video. I have 11 gears on this mtb and was using mostly the smallest to 3rd smallest cog. The thumb throttle is on the left, when you see my thumb on it, that means I'm for sure using the throttle. I have the thumb throttle set a bit higher to about 350watts at level 1. I like to sometimes ride with my thumb near the throttle and lightly press on it when in pedaling uphill. My average speed on this trail was about 15mph to keep other folks happy. On highest level 3, I have it set to 1750 watts max. I normally only use this on the road when I need to get out of traffic or when im going up an insane hill. I sometimes use max speed when someone in front of me feels uncomfortable with me riding behind them and clearly wants me to pass them and go ahead. My battery builder recommend I dont do more than 40amps continuous discharge) I've been consistantly able to ride the 44 miles of this trail and make it back to my car with about 37 to 40% battery life remaining.
