That’s some good miles for original engine / piston! I’m currently on a 2013 Husaberg te300 2stroke (blue ktm 😂) & fancy swapping out to a 4 stroke so I can do a little more road long distance work. These 500f’s seem a lot less highly strung than some of the 450’s etc. How often are you doing oil & filter changes & valve clearances etc?
@@juggsnotthuggs8623 oil change between 15 and 30 hour’s depending on the type of riding. Valve check every winter. Always have used Motorex oil. I change the air filter religiously (I think this is the most important factor in long life). I also rarely power wash the bike. My opinion is people power wash their bikes way to much and causes electrical and bearing problems for no reason….it’s a dirt bike with a license plate, it’s supposed to be dirty!!!!

How the heck do you change the computer from KMPH to MPH?
How is the mpg on road? Say 60mph ? Im just about to close the deal, but as i go touring also i need that info. If the mpg are too high the deals off. Mpg good, well then i have a new bike and a 15l tank to go with it. Best regards / Ola Sweden Liked and subscribed 🤘🏻
@@Nellabellabi this bike isn’t made to do 60mph on the road. It will do it but it’s not comfortable. 60 mpg on the road….probably 33 mpg
@@sandnapper6796 My primary usage are Enduro/singletracks but also a to the MX track to get some air and speed. But, One Time a year i go travelling for about 1000km in 3days, wildcamping and such. Mostly small roads but cutting time by do some highway! I have ridden mx/enduro 35years! But never owned a street legal dual sport like the EXC range. Do have a Yamaha t7 and ktm 450sx and 525sx. Trying to cut corners and purchase a bike that Will do it all acceptable.

Awesome review. I took up sailing for a while - got fat and weak. My RMZ-450, WR450 and DRZ-400 keep me fit. There's nothing on planet earth that is as fun to do as ride a dirt bike.
