Is there math involved with medical assistant ???, if so what kind
Im always drawn to medical field. Although I went to school for something else I still find myself wanting more out of life and career wise. Im looking into Medical assistant and am willing to go for it, the only thing stopping me is the Covid shots. Did everyone here get their Covid shots? What are your experiences after getting it?
Did you get certified while being in school. I am thinking about becoming an MA, but I am unsure if I will be able to get certified and continue schooling at the same time.
My school offered to get certified right after I graduated. You should do it , it’s a great stepping stone especially if you want to pursue a career in the medical field. I recommend getting certified right after you graduate from the program . That way everything is still fresh from everything you learned
Thanks for showing your experience!! I love the fact that you’re living my dream lol! I love that you’re experiencing different specialties!
Thanks for showing your experience!! I love the fact that you’re living my dream lol! I love that you’re experiencing different specialties!
Do u normally see a lot of blood? I wanne be an medical assistant but can't stand much blood😂🙁
It depends what specialty you choose lol I don’t see much blood where I work
Hi Yessiii,,I am Joy, i am medical assistant. Can you help me? I need a job.plz plz plz❤❤🙏🙏
does it need to be certified MA to become a medical assistant in states? coz im a unit lead MA here in guam but im not certified as they accept me because im a graduated of nursing in PI
Some places don’t require you to be a certified MA
What are u going to school for?
Nursing
I loved this video ! ❤thanks
so which would you say is better medical or dental
This was so informative and a great guide for navigating all of this. Thank you!! ❤
Jesus (God’s Son) loves you💛 and saves lives💗 God so loved the world that he gave Jesus for those who would believe in him.
I did my MA I 8 months, FOR FREE!!!! In NY, after the pandemic NYS DOE had a pilot program that the Mayor did. To encourage people to continue to work in the Medical Field, since everyone was so scare of working in healthcare because of Covid-19. I did not spend NOTHING except my book 40.00 and scrubs 70.00 I was blessed
Hi, thanks for the video. What’s is your daily job? I’m going to oncology for externship and I have no idea what is gonna on there and it really makes me nervous😖
Hay quá
Imej itu terlalu menyinggung perasaan
I'm completed medical assistant diploma course and have 2 years experience in this field. I'm a Bangladeshi. How can I apply for MA job in your country? Or what's the procedure??
Create a resume and start by applying to jobs. Make sure you list all your experiences in your resume:) !
Can I apply a medical assistant in Germany? i'm BSN graduate in the Philippines but currently work in Poland now.I have Schengen visa. Thank you
Hi I'm 17 I just got certified will graduate soon but Im already looking for a job I wanted to know if oncology best way to start (really interested in oncology) or should I start with something easier to get experience also do you have any advice on pretty much anything I'm so nervous to get out there lol
Hi! It’s so good that your already planning ahead and looking for a job. It honestly depends on your interests as to where you would like to work, but since you have interest in oncology I would definitely apply! Just make sure that if you do decide to work in oncology you maintain a strong heart and I say this because I’ve experienced getting attached to patients and later I get the phone call that so and so has passed away. I’ve cried when I receive those phone calls because obviously it’s so sad, but this is just my experience and I just wanted to share that with you and I know everyone else is different/ handles certain situations differently:)! But if your looking to get hands on with everything I would do family practice. Family practice does so much hands on depending on the position you apply for. If you want hands-on apply for back office medical assistant positions. If you want to just work the front desk then apply to medical assistant front office. Or Some positions offer both front and back office. Aww no don’t be nervous to get out there everyone start somewhere💗. As far as advice don’t let them pay you minimum wage, research the company/office that u are applying too, if your working part time/ full time make sure you let them know what hours your looking for and be firm with them. Ask them if they have any benefits: sick hours, holiday pay ect.. when you go to your interview ask questions don’t be afraid. At the end of the day your picking what’s best for you so like I said don’t be afraid to ask questions or even negotiate the hourly pay. If you have any other questions let me know I’ll be more than happy to answer all of them☺️💗
Im going to be starting January 13 to be a Medical Assittant
So happy you Vlogged your trip, I’ve missed your videos! ❤️
Your the sweetest😭❤️
I love this so much! Utah is so beautiful 🤩 it was fun making memories with you! 💗
Is it better to go to an accredited school for medical assisting? Usually the expensive programs are accredited compared to the other ones that are way cheaper.
11 wow you pay so much fir school and they pay 11😭
That was a long time ago tho at that time the pay was decent. Times have changed now :)
Do they pay you when you are on an externship?
I didn’t get paid when I was on my externship back in 2016. Nowadays I’m not sure if they pay for Your externship
I hate the Medical Assistant work, not worth it!
I wish we make more money
@@dianatorres6481 Everyone’s Experience is different and as far as the pay rate it depends on the state you live in who you work for/what company / how much experience you have
For people who work at offices/hospitals it surprises me not all the nurses are sanatizing through out the whole day even for todays pandemic . I even see each worker not cleaning there office computer / My mom is OCD and she does more then the nurses lol she’s the most cleanest person I know she always have to have wet ones, germex,Lysol etc even before this pandemic and she will wipe down everything before she uses it
I just found your channel while surfing youtube as always and I love it! Currently binging haha. I'm finishing up my MA program right now! (2 more months till externship). Thanks for all the insight. Wishing you the best :)
I’m glad you liked my videos!✨ thank you so much your so sweet !☺️💗 wishing you the best as well & good luck with your externship
Thank you for the utube! I started my Clinical Medical Assistant course 3 weeks ago. I am in a male in my late 40's but wanted to study MA so that I can help people. I am interested in Internal Medicine ( preventive care). After the program, I need to complete externship / internship for 3 months which the college is going to arrange. Do you see any challenges that I might face being a male in my late 40's because this field is mostly dominated by young girls? Thank you!!
Thank you sm glad u liked the video! That’s great I’m glad you have chosen the medical field so that u can help people. As long as you study the material and actually have a passion for wanting to help others then you should be fine. Lost of women do the MA program but that doesn’t mean you should feel discouraged or think there might be challenges. I think it’s great that you are doing the MA program we need more men in the MA field . Keep up the good work 😊
@@Yessiii21Vlogs Thank you for your kind words! I appreciated :)
Hey man did you ever start your career? I’m a 34 year old male about to start m.a school. Wondering how it’s going for you?
What does a part time schedule as a medical assistant look like? I want to work part time starting next year but I don’t know if that’s even available.
Same, I’ve never seen this. Most MA jobs are full time and on top of finding the classes to get certified it’s hard to find a part time job
I am going to college for medical assistant for around $28,000 is it worth it?
Omg that’s so expensive 😭 way overpriced !!! With 10k more you could of just done the LVN program
Not worth it
I was an MA for a while and really liked it. The only thing to consider is that if you want to continue your education, the hours can make it difficult to go to school. Most offices are going to run from 8-5 monday through friday, and at least where I live I couldnt really fit any school with it. It can be great as a career though.
Qq
What is rop? Someone tell me
ROP is classroom and on-the-job training in a number of different occupations and futures. You can search up your local ROP and see what programs they offer 😊
I’m 20 & I’m in a Medical Assistant program & after I’m done with that I’ll start getting my bachelors degrees in psychology so I can go to PA school I hate that didn’t go straight to college out of high school because I would’ve been halfway through getting my bachelors but I NEEDED that GAP year after I graduated to finalize & figure out my career path & to also take a step back from school work but I feel as if I still waited too long to decide my careers choice.
I’m 29, and been working at a corporate job, I’m looking to change fields. Do you think it’s too late to start? I’m choosing MA because I’m not sure if I’ll like more of the admin side of health care or becoming an lvn.?
It’s definitely not too late, I’m two quarters into my MA degree and I’m 30. Most the people in my cohort are within 5 years of my age. If you want it, go for it!
I agree it’s not to late to start ! I believe you in you go for it 😇!!
I’m just turned 29 & I start the MA program in a couple of weeks! It’s never to late, that’s what I thought but I’m literally going to have a career in December
I'm really interested in this field. I discovered after years of trying that college may not work for me, so I'm obviously worried about not making enough money. But obviously none of that matters as long as you're happy!
Just wondering, do you speak another language? Because I do and I feel like it's a valuable skill that helped me get a job in medical assisting
Yes I speak Spanish and it is definitely a valuable skill to have. It feels nice being able to help out patients
I can see the excitement in her eyes 😀🎉 , ik the video's old but it's just popped up in my recommendation
This was very informative thank you
Girl I was in the area like 20 minutes away from San Francisco that weekend you were there, I could’ve met you lol... hope you come back to the Bay Area soon! & glad you enjoyed your trip! 💕
Aww no way ? Aww next time I go maybe we can met each other ! ☺️the Bay Area is so beautiful I definitely wanna go back ! Thank u sm💕✨
do you choose on what specialty are you gonna work???
When your applying to jobs yes you can pick whatever specialty you want to work in
Wow 😮 both of you look so much alike 😍😊✌️
I need help is MA worth it I’m trying to better my life
Yes, it’s worth it’s a great stepping stone as well to step foot in the medical field
@@Yessiii21Vlogs thanks love I’ll go talk to the school today then
I’m currently going to school for medical assistant
Medical Assistant is a certification that use to be 6 months not 1 year. For 1 year you can complete the LPN program even if cost a little more. It's worth it because it is the fundamental of skill nursing.
I think this is a great stepping stone into healthcare. I am a student right now and I am about to graduate in June. This field has opened my eyes onto new possibilities, now I will be doing nursing!
Yes! I totally agree. I will be starting my program in two weeks nervous but very excited to go back to school
@@jessirey4 I just finished mine a few days ago! What an amazing experience. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
Hii, I start my clinical medical assistant program very soon and I just wanted to know what’s the good way to study effectively to remember everything you need to know, and also what can I expect with the clinical medical assistant program I’m so nervous but I’ll try my best🙂😊
Hiii !!! 1st off congrats on your new journey of becoming an MA😊!! I recommend making flash cards when studying medical terminology make sure you take good notes and bring highlighters. I would go to the library and study and it would help me focus so much. Be ready to learn lots of medical terminology, and lots of hands on experience. My favorite part was always the hands on experience I was so nervous at 1st learning how to give injections/ draw blood ect.... but once you get the hand of it your going to enjoy it 😊!!
