Yeah this was a poor way of putting it onto the car, no functional use. A lot of car enthusiasts do like the look of the tow strap, it adds some character I guess you could say.

@@Bearzy20 Even a functional tow hook on a non-track driven car, is tacky as hell - But to each their own I suppose. I'd guess most, if not all Tow Drivers aren't gonna use it on a normal tow anyway.

@@HDBrzyTV no. Sorry bro. I was a dick. Thank you for this video. Clearly it's helped people out. I was just REALLY frustrated with my stock shift knob. The heat where I live, (110° today) was getting to me the way it just got to my stock shift knob cuz the glue melted and that little plastic tab just fell right the FFFF off.

@@dubsaks25 hey no worries brother, no offense taken 🙏🏽. And that's crazy man, never heard of an OEM knob having issues like that! Usually aftermarket stuff have poor grade materials and glue. What car / year bro, any chance any kind of warranty can cover a replacement ?

@@HDBrzyTV It's a 2013 Civic LX Coupe 5spd. It's super basic. And stock. It's just that like half inch plastic tab that shows the gears. I drove, I shifted one time and that thing just flew off. And for the next several months no glue is gonna hold it. It's driving me nuts. Other than that every single thing on my car is perfect and functions exactly as it should.

It's held up really well, stayed on for the remainder of my ownership of the car, so about 2+ years. Honestly, it's meant to last even with a lot of highway driving + seasons changing and weather. But like a lot of the comments here, all it takes is one shady individual on the streets or in your neighborhood to give it a good yank, and it'll break right through the grill. But it's always going to be your decision 👍🏽
