    He should not be allowed to work with children because the victim, an autistic boy, claims that Vizquel, then the Barons' manager, in 2019 "repeatedly exposed his erect penis to (him) and forced him (to) wash his back in the shower."...Vizquel's attorney, John Dana, of Gordon, Dana & Gilmore LLC, said the parties reached a confidential agreement

    Top fielding Shortstops going back to 1950: 1. Ozzie Smith 2. Cal Ripken Jr. 3. Andrelton Simmons 4. Ernie Banks 5. Luis Aparicio This is documented fact in terms of fielding percentage and chances. So Vizquel isn't even top 5 since 1950. And isn't top 10 if you include players from before 1950. Also, he played 24 years and never got 3,000 hits. So there's another knock against him. That being said, as someone who watched him play; I definitely believe he deserves a spot in the HOF. He was very good for a long time. That should count for something.

      You can’t say Omar Viziquel isn’t top 5 because of his chances and fielding percentage but then you put Andrelton Simmons at number 3. Simmons has HALF the amount of chances as Vizquel and Omar’s fielding percentage is better. How does that make sense? Plus, you add in the fact that Omar has the least amount errors ever made in a season(3), most career double plays turned, is tied for the longest streak without an error by a SS ever and has the best career fielding percentage for a SS. How is not a top 5 fielding shortstop?

    Ricky was the GOAT Even Above Willie Mays. He changed EVERYTHING. Look at the Canseco/McGwire A's. Sure , Ricky had an MVP season, but he did it everywhere he went. I never bought and idolized jersey as a kid except for one: 24 on the A's. Lime Mizuno gloves. And then he did it or TWENTY MORE YEARS. Ima a GIants fan i want a Ricky jersey. He was the king. Way more than Lebron. Sheeeyiiit.

    Memory may fail me here. As I recall, the Marlins had a terrible time protecting Sheffield. He was getting plunked all the time. Early in the '97 season the Marlins were playing the Reds. Sheffield got plunked in a game when Kevin Brown was pitching. Brown was new to the team. When the Reds came up Brown put away the first two batters and then Larkin came up. He got drilled. I don't know that Sheffield got hit again the rest of the season. That's when I knew this Marlins team was different.

    Great hands and range. Not as amazing as Rey Ordonez. But was definitely a lot better of a hitting SS than Ordonez

    • @svk_5104
      @svk_5104 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      How was he not as amazing as Ordonez? All the stats and accolades would say otherwise. Ordonez is definitely one of the great defensive shortstops to have played but Omar was better. Omar has the best fielding percentage out of shortstops, tied for the longest streak ever without making an error, most double plays turned and has the lowest amount of errors made in a single season(3). Plus, Ordonez only had 2 seasons where he made single digit errors, Omar has 9. What actual stats or accolades does Ordonez have that would prove he’s better than Omar?

    • @Shinobi33

      @@svk_5104 ordonez made more spectacular plays and had better range. Yes he was the better overall player but not the better defensive SS in my opinion

    • @svk_5104

      @@Shinobi33 Vizquel was an absolute highlight reel at SS and made all the same types of amazing plays that Ordonez has made and more.

    • @Shinobi33
      @Shinobi33 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@svk_5104 he was great. No denying that. But Ordonez, defensively, is the most athletic and explosive SS ever. No player today has the range, arm, agility, timing, accuracy he had. Vizquel himself will probably tell you Ordonez was better.

    • @svk_5104
      @svk_5104 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Shinobi33 and Ordonez would tell you Vizquel was better. It doesn’t make sense how he can better when Vizquel has him beat in every defensive stat you look at and could make all of the same plays. Being the best fielder isn’t just about being the most athletic or physically gifted, you have to have the stats as well. Vizquel may not have been as physically talented as Ordonez but let’s not act like Vizquel was leaps and bounds behind him. Vizquel may have been slightly less athletic but he was still making all the same plays as Ordonez and he did it while posting better stats in all categories and gathered more accolades and records. If two players can make all the same plays defensively but one has the best fielding percentage all time, most double plays turned all time, longest streak without making an error, least amount of errors ever made in a single season, 9 seasons with making less than 10 errors and 11 gold gloves, don’t you think that would make him a better fielder?
