He fought in the Battle of Santa Rosa Island and eventually to Shiloh where I have traced his Company to the Hornets Nest. He went on to fight in the Heartland Campaign. He was KIA in the Battle of Perryville, Ky. RIP

The dam should be dismantled, and any existing canal returned to a natural state. Florida's water, wildlife, tourism, sealife and beaches depends on the integrity of the ecosystem. Projects like this destroy the ecosystem. The importance of the ecosystem isn't about "tree hugging", it's about the economic viability of Florida!!
