Protein-Packed Moong Dal Pulao! 🌾✨

Moong dal pulao Recipe:
Moong dal 1cup
Rice 2cups
Onions, 4 sliced
Salt 15g (as required)
Turmeric powder, 2tsp
Ginger garlic paste, 2tbsp
Ghee 1tbsp
Fennel seeds, 1tsp
Jeera 1tsp
Cinnamon 2inch stick
Star anise 4nos
Coriander powder, 2tsp
Oil 40g
Curd 1/2 cup
Mint 1/2 small bunch
Coriander: 1 small bunch
Procedure:
2. Soak 1 cup of moong daal for 2 hours and 2 cups of rice for 20 minutes.
2. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a vessel.
3. Once the oil is hot, add a 2-inch cinnamon stick and 4 star anise.
4. Add 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds (jeera) and 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds, then mix well.
5. Add 4 sliced onions and sauté until they turn translucent. Add a pinch of salt to speed up the process.
6. Once the onions are ready, add 8 slit green chilies and 2 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste. Mix well.
7. Add half a small bunch of chopped mint and 1 small bunch of chopped coriander leaves.
8. Stir in 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder and 2 tablespoons of coriander powder, then mix well.
9. Strain the soaked moong daal and add it to the masala mixture, stirring it in. Then, add 1/2 cup of curd (yogurt) and mix.
10. Add the soaked rice and gently mix without adding any water. Add salt to taste.
11. Pour in 7 cups of water and mix slowly. Let it cook on low flame for about 25 minutes.
12. Once cooked, add ghee and mix well. Close the lid tightly and leave it on low flame for 5 minutes to let it get a smoky flavor (dhum).
Your Moong Dal Pulao is now ready to serve!

Moong dal has protein but has more carbs. Pulao along with rice, cannot be called as protein packed.
Half knowldge is always harmful. Lentils are pary of your diet from centuries so you say our ancestors do not know about health consiousness. Have a Biryani and meat everyday, very healthy food 😂😂
@ragav6867 😂😂😂 did you even read my comment before replying??? 1. The title of the video says protein packed to which I replied. 2. To answer your reply, do not compare our life with ancestors. They didn't have the comfort of ordering food online, or eat as often as we do, or use applicances to do daily chores, or have junk and processed foods like we do. Also the food we eat now lack nutrients as the soil has depleted from nutrients. 3. Anyone can eat biryani and still be healthy, condition that it is cooked in a proper way which even explained in detail to you won't understand as you don't know about macros.

@santosh2152 It is the whole moong dal used in the video, boiled moong dal of 100 gms will have 30 gms of carbs which is needed for day to day energy And a small quantity of rice is also needed. Altogether pulav should be taken in a lighter quantity to get good benefits overall😅😅 if you are thinking to stuff up 😉
