The Catholic schools need to atone for the sin by making kids wear the Demonic Masks in school and at Mass. Also for using "virtual learning". All the kids new. To redo the last three years of school.

You are correct, these people are hurting, but it is because of humans like you, Father Mike. You really are clueless. You mask your intolerance with simplistic notions that sound kind and accepting, as long as everyone fits into those labels of 'man' or 'woman' that your self-righteousness deems correct and more worthy. It is a medical fact that things can go awry in utero and a newborn present as male or female and yet have the opposite brain sense of themselves. They are born different, but Jesus still loves them because God does not make mistakes. IT IS JUST ANOTHER WAY TO BE! It is no different than being born with hazel eyes instead of brown or blue. Can you fathom the lifetime of self-loathing if people are not allowed to live their own truth and have to conform to yours? I had a student shoot himself in the head rather than see the anger and disappointment in his father's eyes. That is when this Catholic High School teacher became just a Christian, not to mention all the other abominable reasons to be wary of Catholicism, a truly sick old boys' club with priests like you parading around holier than imaginable. Maybe in the last 8 years, some humility and compassion and light have entered your psyche, penetrated your heart. Hope so ...

As you probably know hundreds of priests have been convicted of child abuse just in the Los Angeles area between 1990-2020. Can you address why the Pope has allowed these assaults to continue? Hmm... “helicopter” parents. Have you ever heard of mislabeling? Of course there are “helicopter” parents; but I have found it to be a term used against parents who are actually parenting. Sorry, Father, but your explanation of what schools often label parents missed the mark for me. It is largely used by educators and administrators to shame the student (that their parent would “get involved”) AND the parent to get them to concede their God given responsibility in their child’s education. We’d better be “giving our kids Jesus” and making them saints in our Catholic schools because the academics are hard aligning to the oh-so-common standards. #RepealESSA

Has anyone else experienced that so-called Catholic schools deform Jesus Christ into their own image? Don't you think that we would have school choice if we kept 90% of our wages instead of spreading the wealth to others who don't want to earn a wage? In the NT Christ is a zamboni to us, a zamboni sibling to be more exact. He paves the way and lights the path. When you're walking with Him, listening to Him He directs your peds. He's always guiding us, trying to get us to hear Him, telling us not to go to a certain place, not to engage in a certain activity, or, conversely, to do a particular good in the world, or to even just to turn left instead of right when we're taking a drive. You're right, parents and educators do need to help us to be resilient, to learn how to think critically, to problem solve, and how to be disciples. But, too, we need to recognize that we can only do it correctly, in a healthy mindset, when we learn the difference between the OT Yahweh and the NT Christ. They are two totally different approaches to life and love. You are a star, Michael Schmitz. Not one of the demon ones--as listed in mythology and/or as recorded within the extraneous documents that explain a number of characters in the Bible--but, a shiny one, of merit, heart, and universal goodness. I'm not saying your mom was wrong, but she was wrong. You are not a flection of light like Satan (Yah, a moon deity), you are a light like Christ.
