Okai Beetle EA10 Electric Sit Scooter Unbox and Review
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Thanks for checking out this video! Recently the family car started having issues. We grew tired of the seemingly never-ending list of new problems, so we decided to sell the car. I've been using a stand up electric scooter for a couple months now, and my wife has used it a bunch and grew to love it. When I saw the Okai Beetle, I hoped it would be the right scooter for her. #unboxing #newscoote...
DJI Osmo Pocket 2 Mount Test on Segway Ninebot ES4 Kickscooter in St Petersburg FL to Boyd Hill
มุมมอง 932 ปีที่แล้ว
Got a backpack shoulder mount for my DJI Osmo Pocket 2. Wanted to see how the stability would be on a fairly bumpy ride on my ES4 e-scooter. All of the settings were set to auto at 4K 60fps, no ND filter. Sadly, the mount broke during the first use. The clip snapped when I touched it to take the Osmo Pocket 2 off. It seems that's a common issue with this specific mount from SKEZN.

One-Ton Katsu Intro

The intro for One-Ton Katsu, a sub channel of One-Ton Soup Productions focused on reviews, tutorials, and vlogs.
literally bought this today and needed some help figuring how to work it and this video was perfect lol
Oh sweet! Glad it came in useful haha. Hope you love it
Did you bought a separate sd card for that tiny camera? I assume it includes its own sd card that it brings along with.
Oh nvm as I was typing 10:04 in the video answer my question
Huzzah! 🙇🏽♂️
It's still cool. I was born in 1955, so I remember when you had to take a roll of film, send it in, and wait two weeks to see how good your pictures were.
Sometimes I miss shooting with film. The anticipation was awesome and stressful haha. I’m still going to give this little cam a go. Thank you for checking out the video!
Bought the camera and the video recorder with the 2” lcd screen you gotta do a video on that one too show me how to use it
Hahaha. I saw it and almost bought it. Maybe next time I stop in. I’ll see about the “camcorder” one
How did you attached that milk create to the back?
I used a couple zip ties and tightly zipped the crate through the bottom holes, on to the rack. Two on the front part, two on the back part, and one in the middle. Doesn't slide around at all.
You sound like Barack Obama!!! LOVE IT! 😊
I’ve never been told that, but he sounds awesome. So, thank you!
Can you give us some alternatives?
Unfortunately, I can’t. I’ve just watched a bunch of reviews of other comparable scooters. For around the same price point, I decided to go with an eBike instead. However, from previous searches around Reddit and other TH-cam videos - HiBoy, Apollo, and Unagi were the brands people generally spoke highly about. Electric Scooter Guide on TH-cam gives some thorough reviews at all different price points. I would highly recommend giving them a look!
Sweet ride! I love it and the color! Thought it was funny that you mentioned gloves in 55 degree weather. 55 degrees is considered a "nice day" up north. :D We will be outside in a t-shirt and sometime shorts.
Haha we’re actually both originally the North East. I’m from upstate NY and she is from Massachusetts! It’s just that 55 on exposed hands when you’re riding feels a lot colder than 55 normally does.
Great honest reveiw bro. If you want a real awesome scooter Get the Uscooters Booster Gt, it is awesome and only weighs 29lbs and is a 48v system
I was watching a video on the Booster GT. Seems pretty awesome. Honestly, if I lived in an area with better / smoother roads or more friendly infrastructure for scooters / bikes I would probably go with another scooter. Tbh tho, I got my ebike and love everything about it.
Is it beginners friendly? I never rode a regular scooter in my life let alone an electric one 😂
My wife said it was super easy right away. She’s not someone that normally rode a big, scooter, or anything of the sorts. She loves it.
@@onetonkatsu Great! Then I’m gonna get it then! 🥹
I had now a es2 with external battery on it for 5 years almost. No issues at all .the screws front were loose ,but you need to use thread locker and this problem will be fixed. No battery issues at all still now.im very happy as it is the the best one still now
I wish I had gone with the 2 and just gotten the external add on. The ES4 was not pleasant.
900 is kind of low for a no car daily driver. I just rolled over to 2100 today and I've had mine since last april. Got all the brake upgrades and what not. The screwed up and sent me 2 front brakes so I had to wait for a rear but got to keep the extra front as a spare. I ride everywhere even in the winter around the small town I live in. I replaced both sets of brake pads at 2000 so they lasted about 1500 Miles. Going to have to replace my rear tire soon. It is a pretty amazing bike.
There were a few months where I didn’t ride it. Also, I work at the community I live at so I don’t have to commute for work haha. However, it’s my daily driver for errands, getting my kid to and from school, as well as a few miles a day for exercise. Most of what I need is within 6 miles, so I generally just walk for anything that’s within 2 miles. I actually just had to replace my rear tire. The tube blew out and ripped the sidewall of the tire. It was a pain for a week but it’s great now! I genuinely love this bike.
What handlebar extension did you buy?
I got the BRCOVAN extender. I have a link to it in the description too! Haven’t had any issues with it at all!
Hey what size rim tape did u get?
I got the 20”. It’s so good. And it had a couple extra cute stars haha
Time for small claims if they not responding. hold them responsible. Action speaks louder then words.
True true. Unfortunately, I don’t have the money or time to do all that with a foreign based company. Bad reviews and word of mouth poor recommendations has a smaller impact than legal action but it takes less money and headache on my part.
SLAM...DA DA DA DA!! SLAM!!! Remember when Onyx came out!
Hell yeah!
"affiliate links below" was the last thing i was expecting your kid to say 🤣 i had the same issue that headlight, what i ended up doing was tightening the nuts so the light was in a good position and that seemed to help a bit, though i might look into another light for it
Hahahaha. Had to interject it somewhere! The light was standing right for about a week. Tony gave it a good tightening and I think used some screw tape (the blue stuff), and even added a stabilizer underneath. Just can’t hold up with that super thin plastic base. I still want a different one than I have. The one I got is okay but it’s not being sold on Amazon anymore 😂 I’d really like to get another one that I can connect to the bikes power. Thanks for checking out the video and dropping a comment!
I have recently subscribed to your channel. I found your video very helpful, and I learned a lot from your content. Regarding your GPS tracker, I would like to learn more about this option. Thank you for sharing :)
Thank you so much for checking out the video and subscribing! Regarding the tracker, there are a ton of options. Since I live in a fairly populated city, I went with an AirTag. You can hide it in the handlebars or even get an enclosure / holder for it like a light, reflector, or even under seat attachment. There are a bunch that are dedicated to bike tracking but usually have a monthly fee attached.
Great video! Everyone else seems paid off today.😂 Ill subscribe to you!
I appreciate you! I still use this filter a ton both with videos and photos. Eventually I’ll end up getting a new camera body which is gonna suck since I’ll need to either get a new filter or adapt it. But most of my lenses are adapted and I really don’t wanna start stacking adapted glass too much.
@@onetonkatsu i got the m50 aswell, the mk 1, and realized that its not so much in the camera but more in the content you shoot with it. So until i can up my own content i wont upgrade. And besides i bought a shitload och light equipment and sound equipment which did more for my content. Best of luck!
@@herr_bouchnak I completely understand! I mean, I spend a while using way older cameras to shoot photos and videos. I even just used my iPhone X for a while for music videos. Technique and creativity will pretty much always win out against the gear. Keep on keepin on!
what charger does the ruggard e30L use? I need to replace my charger and I've bought a few that don't work right. need help :)
Switching Adaptor Model FJ-SW1260502000DU Input 100-240v 50/60Hz 0.4A Max Output 5V 2000mA If that helps at all!! I just read what’s on the sticker lol
I have had ES2 (cheaper version of ES4) for about 7 months, and I have put 730 miles on it as my last mile ride to/from work. I will have to say the scooter serves me well. The front fender thing that you complained, that's not really their issue, you could've taken apart all the plastic cover the front wheel either property glue the fender or purchase a new fender part to replace the broken one. The only beef I have is the front tire wears out too fast, I just had to replace the tire for a second time yesterday and it's a real pain! But other than that, I love it.
I’m glad you’ve had a great experience with it! Eventually I may give Segway another chance with a scooter. Sadly this experience really left me with a bad feeling.
Got one as a birthday gift. Haven’t used it yet but it’s primarily to get around campus.
I hope you love it! I def think it could be awesome for short trips especially around a campus. Just beware of bumps, sand, and gravel!
Do I need a dry cabinet if the humidity level is 44% in my place , thanks.
It depends. I’m in FL and it’s usually around 45% humidity indoors for my place. But outside be like 80%+ very often. I got the box to have a small space that would actively assist the process of normalizing the humidity levels in my lenses. But I also think if it like… I’ve got a couple grand worth of lenses. Dropping $150 to make sure they’re good was worth it to me. Thankfully haven’t had any mold or hazing issues in the lenses or on my camera sensors.
@@onetonkatsu Thank you very much for the response, I think I will buy one to make sure that the camera and lenses are in good condition. 👍👍
What happened to it since then ?
It keept getting worse. I ended up giving it to a friend, but gave all the warnings too.
What scooter do you ride now?
I occasionally ride the city rental scooters but primarily I just stay on my bike now.
Where is that helmet from?
I think we picked that up at WalMart. It’s a Bell brand helmet.
thanks
You’re welcome!
Some boddy want to sell es4 to me..price 270$ Km 1500 He buy it 1year ago Can i buy it from him ?
Maybe
I mean, I wouldn’t.
I guess I'll be putting mine on low mode, 15ph scares ts out of me, I thought I was going to die, once my gotrax went on15 on cruise control😩
Tbh, 15mph doesn’t even feel that fast once you’re on it!
Are you still using this e scooter and how do you like it now?Can you buy parts for it if so where?THANKYOU!
She still uses it often. She hasn’t needed to buy any parts for it, but I’m sure the company has parts!
My stem broke while ridding. It's cheaply made. Worst purchase I ever made. I would never buy a segway product again
The seriously been my biggest fear. When I still use it it’s for really short trips and I try not to go hard on it, specifically because I feel like the stem is super weak.
Agreed! You realize this once you disassemble and see what it is not made of.
@@hardasnails11b “what it’s not made of” is the slickest backhand.
@@onetonkatsu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🛴
Naw bro these are made pretty good compared to other scooters that go this fast… you gotta remember it’s not made to off road and be treated like a skate scooter 😂 the stem on es models are twice the size of stems on different brand scooters
What about battery can i do quick change with fully charged one?
The battery is kind of a pain to change. It’s bolted in and has some wires that need to be connected. Absolutely possible to do, just not a quick change at all. At least 15 minutes.
Does this work with a speedbooster?
Unfortunately, it does not. I do wish there was a speed booster with drop in ND but I think that’s more than would be feasible in one device that’s under $500 haha.
I ordered one based on your video 🎉🎉🎉 can’t wait 🤩
I hope you love it!! My wife’s is still getting daily use with no issues!
Still worth buying at 2023? Found a used one for 150
I wouldn’t recommend it to much of anyone. I mean, if you were literally going to use it to less than 2 miles in a day, maybe for $150. But I wouldn’t at all.
Lol I also had the ES4 as my first scooter, and everytime i went over a tiny crack I just hear a loud ass DING, like a mini explosion and people start looking my way xD
Yeah, I can’t even count how many insane looks I’ve gotten going 20mph and hit a cracker smaller than the width of a soda straw. CRACK
I just got one of these today for Christmas and it won't charge or do anything, we tried both ports and had it plugged in for hours and it will not even turn on, we made sur the batter was plugged in and nothing, I am so upset. $700 with tax and the thing won't even turn on!!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear. Have you reached out to Okai? If they have an answer as to why this happened, I would love to hear!
@@onetonkatsu I have contacted Okai and they say they are sending me a new charger to see it the charger I received was defective. I really think it is the battery though. I won't know anything untill I receive the new charger and I just talked to them today and they have not yet shipped it as of today. So I wait....
Ugh. How frustrating!
Help me out here.. why cant I just get a built in ND Filter to use with my EF-M Lenses that isnt a damn Adapter? Just EF-M to EF-M please? Massive opening in the market, all these built ins are Adapater. Huge oversight by Manufacturers
Yeah, I agree with you. Unfortunately, Canon has all but abandoned the EF-M line. If it has gotten the support that EF and EF-S had gotten for so long, I’m sure there would have been EF-M to EF-M drop in filters. But, who knows. Maybe someone will surprise us and come out with one?
@@onetonkatsu I have had others tell me its not physically possible. I think they're conflating the RF to EF-M conversion issue, which I still dont feel is an issue that cant be overcome with clever engineering
Because there's no good EFM lenses
@@knottage sad but true
Hard to believe johnny boy is happy with this thing. Im not even buying this thing as a gift. Decided not to after so many negative feed backs. I just don’t want to be another bad product victim.
Yeah, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone really. Especially not anyone who plans on using it more than once a week.
Not bad at all 👌🏻
Shot with the M50 and the Canon EF 50mm 1.8 on the Viltrox EF to EF-M speed booster.
Also, peace bred!! My mother side of thr family is all from Bogwalk and Mile Gully! All the Meghoo and Hylton are my family haha
@@onetonkatsu I have all those you mentioned but hardly use them.
I had one of this for 3 years ,no issues whatsoever just replacing back wheel bearings, very pleased and good performance
I’m impressed! I’ve found that some of the earlier made ES4 seem to hold up well. Most of the other people I’ve talked to that have similar issues with theirs are all later production ones. I wish I had yours!
@@onetonkatsu yeah really happy with mine, I've also had a couple of good accidents on it and it seems impervious to damage and if something does start to go wrong on it ,though cross fingers it will keep going fautlessly I wont be to bothered as its certainly paid itself off in the few years I've owned it🙂
@@johnnyboy1586how’s it still going ? Also what kms you have on yours now
@@internalcombustion8744 still going great, though there was a slight issue when I took it out in heavy rain and I bit of water got to the electrics and it started stuttering so I parked it inside by the fireplace for a few hours and she's all good now Not to sure on exact ks it's done, when I first got it I when some long distances on it but now I just just use it to go to the shops or bank which is about 1.5 ks there and back and I use it to go to the gym which also is just down the road about three times a week,my front tyre is getting fairly worn down but I just got a new one which I'll put on soon,it's been an amazingly reliable scooter the only thing is I wish it came with at least a rear disc brake for a bit more stopping power
How many ND steps does this have?
It goes from ND3 to ND500 - the turning wheel doesn’t lock at each stop so you have more precise control over the strength you want. I’ve only had to go full ND500 once and that was using a 50mm at 1.4 on a very bright day. But even then the max was a little strong.
@@onetonkatsu thank you I ordered it and the rokinon RK12M-M I can't wait to go home next year to use it ⏳
Sweet lens! However, since it’s an EF-M lens it won’t work with the adapter. The adapter is EF lens to EF-M body. You’ll be able to use the lens on the M50 body (assuming it’s the M50 or other EF-M body). You’ll be able to use any EF or EF-S lenses with it tho!
@@onetonkatsu oh wow I honestly didn't know. Here I was thinking I could not throw away all my front nd filters . The greatest this I have more lens options for my m50 a adapter and nd filter in one 👍🏽
I only use my front ND filters now when I’m using an EF-M lens, which I only have two of. Everything else is EF or EF-S. I still use mist filters and other effects filters on the front, but it’s so nice to not have to fiddle with it.
Look good 👍 😎📷
Good grief !!
In the other words of Charlie Brown “AHHHHHHHHG”
This is the best illustration with lots of valuable information. Thanks! I think I am going to get one. 😀
My wife still loves it! Still rides it almost daily with basically no issues. It’s great.

I can’t even argue. It sadly gets worse and worse as the weeks go on.
