    For the screen time thing, I’m the same way. I found I would rush through journaling just to get on technology faster. What I do instead is kinda like what you do, intentional screen time. I have a mood tracking app I log, journal in xTiles, and watch TH-cam videos like this one to start off the day.

    Fun fact!! Coloring or doing a puzzle is also considered meditation! Meditation is any activity that quiets the train of thoughts and makes you more alert about the present.

    I recently got addicted to the fire crackling and purring ambiance video's, but then I want both and music in the back, so i put two on. one with the scenery and jazzy music and then the purring and fire crackle in the back from another video. Perfect!! Also, try the book nook building! You'll get addicted and it is the perfect hobby. Oh, and don't ge me started on the cold, I have the same as you , and no dog, take a cat, it makes you more motivated to stay at home. I love new winter clothes as a motivation indeed, but then I get bored and prefer staying in

    After experimenting a lot I found the only morning routine that works for me: sleeping. Just sleep until 5 minutes before whatever I need to do always makes feel better than sleeping less.

    the concept of "point of performance" has become very helpful for my dad and I. you basically set out everything you will need for the morning like clothes or like say things for a protein shake or something so when you wake up you dont have to worry about where everything is or getting distracted while finding things. Its all already set out for you and ready to go. It might take a few more minutes at night but you will be thankful in the morning.

    For those who found therapists that “ talk about themselves” “ask you to rate them” ask you how you survived… these are not well trained & professional therapists. Its important to double check that your therapist is 1. certified 2. Has enough experience 3. Does not revolve the conversation around themselves and doesn’t give off their opinion unless its directly related to a problematic behaviour example: do not go drink when you have a drinking issue.. Think of therapists as drs.. Some doctors are professional and others aren’t

    consumables: for example I like nut butters but they are expensive so I wouldn't mind being treated to one as a gift, homemade jams, cookies and such, but also non-food stuff like soaps plant cuttings: this requires forethought but that makes it even cooler services: maybe a day of free babysitting for parents, offering skills like gardening, repair etc. donations in their name: I donated money, got a certificate, wrote a note and gifted it with a bottle of non-alcoholic punch Also i recently got the idea of making little travel sewing kits in old tin containers, but I haven't yet done it so I can't atest to how successful it is...

    I love New York been twice in my life and it’s my fav place: however, I completely understand why people would find it overwhelming and anxiety inducing. It’s like London for me - sometimes I go and I think god I wish I lived here and then the next time I go, I think thank goodness I live in the countryside in Yorkshire. I did live in BCN for a year and that city I do miss, but it never felt as busy as other cities and also you have the 🌊 sea super close by. 🇵🇸🍉♥️🧿🇸🇩

    Alternative Christmas tree idea: decorate your houseplant(s). I've previously added lights to a huge climbing pothos. Over the last couple of years, I've decorated my Norfolk Island Pine, which is a tropical plant that looks just like a Christmas tree. I also knitted some mini bobble hats that I hang on him as baubles/decorations (I say he, because his name is Norman). And I knitted a larger bobble hat that he wears with in place of a traditional star/angel.

    Ok the deciding on an outfit thing. So i have some new clothes from last year that i barely ever wear. Because i cannot go through the emotional and decision making labor of making the outfits. Like hey i have these grey pants, i am unsure on their warmth level because i havent really worn them yet (they were a gift), and idk how different top options would go with them. So every time i just skip and settle with one of the familiar combos i know 😂 cause we going for presentable and actually making our way to work.

    Something nice I'm doing is making handmade Christmas cards. I haven't done so since I was, maybe 5. But I've kind of gotten into art at the end of this year so I decided "screw it, why not". No matter the quality, it's worth more than anything I could just lazily go onto Amazon, type a word in then add to basket for.

    Super relatable! My favorite form of meditation is doing yoga, as I can still focus on my breathing and how my body is feeling (bit like a body scan) and it feels like a really loving thing to do for myself. The scrapbook journal is something I just decided I wanted to try doing, and now you are talking about it in this video, so that feels like confirmation!!
