I traded my GT4 for this extremely rare 911 - 1 of 500 ever produced
มุมมอง 4446 หลายเดือนก่อน
Well, it's a bitter sweet moment as I trade in my GT4 after many happy mods for what has always been a dream of mine. Turbo S Exclusive series is an extremely rare car (only 500 ever produced) and is arguably the best iteration of Porsche's iconic Turbo 911. It checks all the marks around exclusivity, production quality, and performance. When I found this car for the asking price (nearly $100K ...
Installing European Rear Bumper on my American Spec 718 GT4
มุมมอง 1K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Thanks to decades old absurd regulation, we always get the short end of the stick with European sport cars (amber corner lights, ugly rear bumpers, no factory roll cage, etc). In this episode I go through a lot of trouble to get hold of a European bumper, have it shipped to US and get it installed on the car. Mostly because I like the looks of the euro spec (because unlike North American bumper...

Installing BMC Air Filter on 718 GT4 (intake sound reminisced of GT4RS)

The cheap 718 GT4 Aerodynamic upgrade Porsche won't tell you about
มุมมอง 9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
These aerodynamic fins (coming straight from GT3) help reduce lift and manage tire wake. Unfortunately even though they come shipped with every GT4, most dealers do not bother installing them on the cars during the PDI process since it requires a good deal of work cutting outlined holes on the wheel liners and the under body panels. 9/10 other GT4 owners that I spoke with said they didn't have ...
This GT4 sounds better than GT4RS; change my mind
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
GT4RS review embargo is finally removed and what most reviewers touch on is the visceral experience and the emotional sound of GT4RS that sets it apart from GT4. While we can't argue the technical improvements that add up for the amazing car that GT4RS is, I would argue with a few mods, you can make the more easily available GT4 sound as good (if not better) than GT4RS.
Akrapovic OAP is the only Exhaust upgrade you need for 718 GT4 (+ more JCR fitment issues)
มุมมอง 30K2 ปีที่แล้ว

OAP or Backbox? The true sound of JCR race pipes on 718 GT4
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I think the video speaks for itself. JCR exhaust definitely changes the tone of the exhaust but provides little to no additional volume. OAP is what really improved the volume. I think JCR exhaust and Akrapovic OAP are good matches: one fixed the tone, the other fixes the volume. That being said, the JCR exhaust sound was no where near the impression I got by listening to other online videos po...

Mate what’s the latest on this? I was considering buying JCR for my 992 GT3, I am based in the UK, I asked him for details of his factory, his quality assurance process etc. He went defensive and basically said if I ask him questions which he can’t answer then his product is not for me. I believe the guy just cooks up some Chinese made stuff somewhere with local welders and charges a premium for products which gradually impact your cars performance. With my GT4 in PDK from another UK based manufacturer I had a drop of around 20hp. Great sound but the day I put back the OEM exhaust back on, I could feel the car flying back again.

@@gurujojo8992 haha thats Jonny "Cocky" for you, mate. For 992 get R1 Motorsports. Check them out, better sound than JCR. also with my gt4, i noticed my 0-60 times slowed down by .3 seconds consistently after installing JCR exhaust. all his dynos and performance gains are in conjunction with oaps which do in fact make you gain hp. Backbox alone, best case scenario is break even, worst case scenario lose power like i did with JCR. Their gt4 system has resonators which can mess up the exhaust flow, i would feel more comfortable with just x pipes without valves as there is nothing to mess up with designing those

Ah dude sad to see you don't have the GT4 anymore. I actually came to check your videos because I just put the JCR Manifold + high air flow catted link pipes on mine. Literally just got it remapped at a very reputable place in the UK and I made exactly 0 hp gains. Same as you found I think the JCR claims are false, at least on a dyno :) I thought about trading mine for a 991.2 GT3 last month, even went to test drive it, but I couldn't bring myself to part with the GT4... I still think it's the best looking of the GT cars, and the GT3 didn't feel much better either, just different. Congrats on the new car though, it does look very good. Hey, I live in the UK so I have a EU rear bumper - interesting video. I didnt realise there was a difference until watching this. I don't think it would bother me though! Always interested to see what you do next. I watched your exhaust pipe videos too. I settled on the JCR Manifold + race cats + oem backbox + bmc air intakes. I found changing the backbox just introduces too much drone and cabin noise (I was using the BCfabs backbox with JCR system but it was stupid loud). Have you heard the fabspeed manifolds though? I haven't heard them in person but over video they sound amazing. I'm getting mine remapped for the new exhaust system in a few days, and the MR forged rims. After that I'm probably going to get RPMTechnik crown wheel and pinion set to shorten my gear ratios (mines a manual). I thought of getting the MR coilovers but I'll see how it feels after all the other mods. Thinking of a carbon rear wing + air intakes + bonnet as well since I'm already rocking the GT Silver and black theme which looks pretty good! Cant wait to see what you do next, keep it up!

Your dyno result says nothing about the so called lost horsepower after installing the jcr exhaust. Utterly nonsense because you test on another dyno than JCR. 10hp is probably the result of the flywheel setting on your dyno or more resistance in the dyna. Perhaps different altitude or a full fuel tank. 10 hp is not enough to make conclusions
