The right wheel was turned considerably more than the left prior to hitting a barrier. ? I think this crash could have saved he's life. This is madness.

Just unfortunate, he got just a little offline and onto the dirty stuff at the road edge.

He panicked when he locked up the front wheels. All he had to do was to release the brakes and regain steering. It would have take a second and then he could have made the turn.

Arrrgh... it was slowing down very nicely, he would have easily have made it if he just got off the brakes after he locked up! To practise this, do a track day in the wet and experiment with deliberately locking up and getting off/re-applying brakes. Start at lower speeds and build up. Until it's instinct, personally I would never do a hillclimb in the wet under trees, the risk/reward ratio is way off.

There was noticable understeer before and he could take it easier, he couldn't even slown down uphill so he was pushing it way too much but what a ride he has, I am sure he's a pro, dunno who the guy is or the race and I like it a lot, such a shame video is not a full track video

Those are challenging racing conditions. But I imagine quite thrilling.
