July 23, 2023 We escape the relentless heat in North Texas and head to the mountains of the Lincoln National forest near Cloudcroft. Lots of camp sites to choose from but nothing too terribly exciting, at least not that we had the time or the ability to find.

5-26-2023 My camping buddy and I head to Ouachita Mountains for Memorial day weekend. have a hard time finding a spot but end up coming a well hidden site that worked out perfectly. Cook some dinner, enjoyed the campsite and the beauty of this area. Plus we had some issues with the Joolca Water pump that took a bit negotiation to get to work again.

5/5/2023 On this trip, we go just for a little R&R but have to deal with a bit of weather on the flight home. Short day trip to Cass Cay Restaurant & Bar in Burnt Store and another to Cabbage Key for their evening dinner and a night out on the hook on the Gulf side of Boca Grande.
