By the way, search as I may, I find no expositories on your handling of manure. Us city boys wonder-do you pre dry it? How dry? Mix any thing with it? How about a 3 min. vid?? Way to go!
Nice mechanical design! Have you ever toyed with a combination of ingrediants? Say manure, paper and corn cobs? Or say Manure, corn cobs and waste hay? would sawdust be in line at all? Nice going friend.
I went to lite my apples dot com and it came up with multiple options. I would like to purchase one but unable to locate. Can you please post a phone number?
That would seem to be the logical way to do this, but I think he is interested in free heat and selling his little project rather than being worried about environmental factors. I would have another bucket under the drain area, pre-filled with the manure and paper so as the water drains, it fills the next batch. Things that make you go hmmmmm Huh?? Ha haha. :-)
What kind of ways could the water be reused? I'm sure it could be reused to soften more paper, but with the inks and other chemicals from the paper you're softening... would it still be safe for other uses, like gardening or... I don't know. Or, what kinds of things should be avoided doing with recycled water from this process?
I know this is a 12 year old comment, but I'll answer this myself. It's okay to use the water for gardening just don't use on delicate plants. Rule of thumb if it can't be transplanted easily or foods that DONT continuously FRUIT- don't use the water on those plants. Use it with hearty resistant plants if you're worried. You can use paper , cardboard various papers for this, but more importantly than the ink you want to use as basic of paper as possible. What I mean by basic no laminated sides, no tapes, plastics , rubbers, etc. on it. Like the ads that come in the mail that have that slick texture- not a good option. I mainly use brown cardboard, butcher paper, painting paper (usually the same as butcher just white/bleached), newspaper or grocery store ads that are like newspaper. Also can use sawdust and wood shavings. I don't use horse manure but I do use rabbit and goat manure. I'm sure you could make these with many other manure types as well. Good luck 12 years later but better late than never. P.s have you tried this in the last 12 years by chance? Always curious when I reply to old comments like this.
Where's the electric motor at? Cut a piece of 4" PVC length wise and hook it to a 4" pipe so your excess water can run away from where you are working?
Nagyon ,sokidö a készités, vagy gyorsabb és egyszerübb.

I would like to see one of these burn. How many btu's can you get from one of these bricks? How about a video of burning a brick?
How long does one of these logs burn for?
Simply pull off the bottom plate he says while u can here him pounding on it
if you have a water charge you could probarbly save money by catching the water
Is that unit custom made or commercially available?

He could also catch the waste water and re-use it......hmmmmmm.
hammer time... Hahahaha!
I wondered the same thing.
Save the watef to reuse it, unless you got a way to make water
Why don't you just pour it directly from the bucket, instead of getting your hands wet, and cold and messy.
nice thanks!
I like the viedo
Great idea
your website doesn't work. are you making and selling these?
Lol, 'look over there at some existing logs whilst I smash the hell out of this'. Excellent video. They are very large logs!
i'm liking the trailer jack
And what is the ratio of manure to paper?
I have thought of trying this! Ingenious idea!

@MrLeonard55 My thoughts exactly. looks like you would be standing in a lake after just a short while.
Put something under it so you can re-use the water.
Looks like it would be fun to build.
