Crest 4500
This is my old 52" Crest 4500. It was bought in 1988 at Hechinger. The original contractors installed a variable speed dimmer switch for it, so after 20 years of use, the motor buzzes a lot on all speeds. It had cane blades, but we reversed them. It's installed on a 13' cathedral ceiling and covers the living room, dining room, kitchen, and entryway.
In this video, I'm just cycling the speeds so you can hear the buzzing. It's worse in the medium speeds, but it does make some noise on high and low as well.
As of June 2008, it was replaced with a Casablanca Panama. A video will come later. Enjoy!

Black & Decker Snake Fan
มุมมอง 4.9K15 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a Black & Decker "Snake Fan" from the mid-90s. It has a single speed. It has a flexible body that can be wrapped, bent, and shaped to make it go anywhere. This one has a crooked blade, which makes it really loud. I have to find a screwdriver bit to remove the screw. The head is a weird hex size with a large post sticking out the middle. The batteries are a little hard to get out, and th...
12" Lasko Type 12-1

This is a 12" Lasko Type 12-1 (what's the model number?) from the mid 90s. It was given to my by my grandma, and was probably bought at Walmart. It has 3 speeds, and surprisingly tilts a 110 degrees or so. I'm not sure if it was normal, but I saw one of these mounted to a wall, with the fan tilted all the way back, so I went home and tried it. It needs some cleaning up, and some oiling. The fan...
Lakewood HV-9

Old style Lakewood HV-9 from 2006. Very versatile fan, because of it's small space, powerful high, and quiet low, I find myself using it quite a lot.

12" Lakewood HV-12WR Window Fan
มุมมอง 3.9K15 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a late 1980's Lakewood 12" high performance window fan. I got it from my grandma; who got it from a thrift store in the late 90's. It came in a Sears box, but the fan is labeled Lakewood. It has a 1/20th HP motor, and runs at 1500 RPMs. The blade pitch is insane, and puts out a surprising amount of air. Reversible & 3-speed. Enjoy!

A 1980's Lakewood 6" clip fan. A good, solid performer. It has 2 speeds. Cool fan!
