Misleading title. You CAN trust the tool. The manual states clearly that moisanite tests as a diamond and you can't use it to distinguish between them. You can still test for different types of stones using this tester.

I just bought a moissanite ring in silver for a travel ring. I plan on wearing my diamond a lot, especially since it will be a bezel set and comfortable, however I won’t be traveling out of the country or anywhere I would want to leave it in the hotel room hence the travel ring. I wanted moissanite since it’s a real stone that will stay beautiful unlike CZ

It's the same fake diamonds, technologically man made, try to lost that certificate and sell them back,,the gemologist will tell you the same it's still moissenite, gemological Institutions and diamond industry created Equity divertions gems to maintain their Authority.

The right is natural but the left looks slightly better in clarity

Testing on a piece I had checked. The meter jumped to red ; then the tester said it was not real. . Though it is or was a Signature Diamond with Papers . Could a unclean Stone render a false test. 2 shops first I see red meter readings. Than nothing on their second attempts. After maybe switching off the collaborator.😮

You can't weld, that machine puts out a perfect weld, I weld material much thicker than that, and mine does a beautiful job.
